Andy - the liberal biased media 'missed' (if you want to call it that) the boat on vetting that idiot back in 2008...and now the country has suffered badly over the 'just put anyone in but Bush' agenda...(put this in the old 'careful what you wish for' file)...there's no reason to doubt the story in the link you posted - especially after Obama's own lawyer already stated the copy shown on the whitehouse website is a fake. And if you note, while the responses from day one to this charge are 'are you crazy', 'you're a loon', etc, these same people have never offered a valid explanation...just a bunch of insults thrown out to distract

They didn't miss it ..... they knew what they were doing ..... he got a free pass all the way to being President. If they brought anything up .... the way they do all the other candidates ..... who knows .... (but I didn't think McCain was worth being President either *just my opinion). The media doesn't want to give up their chance for interviews and parties and rubbing elbows with the elite people in that party.

Your own article only admits she didn't specifically say 'it's a fake', but did admit they beat around the bush on the topic, stating they would not use it as evidence. Of course you wouldn't ever think to ask 'why not?' The article, while trying to debunk the idea, basically stated what the right said happened that day. If there's nothing behind this birther thing (which is what I believed for the longest time, even while wishing there was some way to oust this guy from office), then simply producing evidence would an easy way to squash what they claim is baloney... Btw, the judge did ask if it's a fake and did she not want to submit it as evidence...she simply responded by saying they would not submit it as evidence...that was her chance to start off by saying 'its not a fake'...but instead chose to not respond to the first part of the question.

He certainly wasn't the most inspiring choice...but in this case, McCain, Hillary Clinton...all Republican Candidates from both 2008 and this primary season as well as the remaining Democratic candidates...would've been a better choice

So, you can characterize our President, an over-achieving Constitutional lawyer from Harvard, as an idiot... ...but not Sarah Palin, Glen Beck, Michelle Bachmann, Herman "I Got A Bunch Of Different Things Twirlin' Around In My Head" Cain" or Rick Santorum? Am I mistakenly on the Short Bus?

Perhaps. It's just interesting that someone as conservative as you would prefer anyone, even Dennis Kucinich, over Obama. It just strikes me that there's an underlying element here, especially when your grasping so, so hard at the 'He's not American!!' straw. Also, he "applied" much of what he campaigned with and was elected on "out in the field." Your disagreement with it doesn't mean he's wrong, much less a book smart/street stupid dolt.

Sally - neither of the above articles have any "birther" comments. "The latest find is a fascinating inversion of the birther conspiracy..." - it appears to me that you never read either article before your mocking post. What is disturbing to me - it's too hard to believe Mr. Obama was not aware of his biographical statement (in a 1991 booklet) written by his literary agent & somehow never read by him until now!!! Perhaps the truth might be Mr. Obama was fully aware of the biographical sketch and somewhat like Elizabeth Warren (fully 'native American India') he had something to gain by leading on people, at that time, that he was born in Kenya. In fact that biographical sketch was still used as lately as 2007 (born in Kenya) ---- unaware??? I really doubt it!!! This is news - and very embarrasing at the same time

I agree with audi service gamer. Though i believe that what we do here is in vain. Those who vote against their own interests have an unreasoning pathology. So I think the attempts we make here are futile. I do think that it's important to refute the misinformation and lies for others who read who can comprehend. We're dealing with cognitive dissonance on a grand scale.

Yet, we continue to waste mental energy in these futile attempts to have a genuine meeting of the minds.

Diversity is not a "one way street" & compromise has rarely occured in the Obama Administration. The President has again and again rejected genuine discourse with those of a different mind & then push through his own agenda.
