The ..2012.... Political thread

227,000 private sector jobs created in February in US...pretty good at least going in the right direction...in spite of obstruction by republicans for any job creation The economy just had its best 12 months of job growth in more than five years. Worth noting: durable goods #manufacturing jobs up 444k since January 2010. Longest and deepest period of #mfg jobs growth since 1993-5. Sorry, wingnuts. Your dream of American failure is being dashed before your very eyes.

People who constantly bring up the other sides faults (or made up faults) are those who cannot defend their own side.... And I am with the others on here.......we constantly blame Congress for not getting along (this side and that side) Why blame them if that is all we do ourselves?
-
If there is blame to be had it's important and constructive to bring up the facts. It's the only way to avoid mistakes in the future.

All the mudslinging is good for absolutely no one. No one is perfect, but then on the flip side no one is completely sh*t either! If people just focused on what they wanted achieving instead of focusing on how terrible the other side was then stuff would get done a lot faster and more efficiently. Although I do agree with this too:

There needs to be a balance! Here in the UK no one really cares (about politics). We all like to rip the Prime Minister to bits cos he's a proverbial tw*t, but by and large people are so apathetic it's crazy! And if I'm being honest I'm one of those apathetic people! haha Quite frankly I've been taking SO much more interest in American politics recently!

Sorry strongly disagree, if there is a reason for the problems we have and the facts are are on one side...that needs to come out...otherwise we keep making the same mistakes over and over again. Have to learn by our mistakes. Lots of uninformed here too but not as many apathetic. Because we have a 2 party system it is easier to choose one side..but it makes for polarization. In the UK all the parties you have confuse things and it's harder to know who to vote for. Look at all the mess with the Lib Dems and how so many felt betrayed. But I do think I'm as interested in UK politics as you are in US politics because basically I'm an anglophile...I love you guys

Just thought I'd post the link to my new article about my views on stuff again! Hey America! Just sit back and weather the storm like the UK! Enjoy, comment and like! haha

I simply like obama as president better than I do the Republican Candidates. Sorry I should be free to make my own choice as to whom I vote for with out feeling initimidated. Thats how it was with when Bush was in office people felt almost affraid or intimidated to admit they voted democratic. I refuse to let that deter me this time either love doris

politics are like having a liberal left hand and a republican right hand...that seem to want to act independently...god bless democrats
Aren't the Democrats trying to push God out of the way?
I agree - perhaps it's more subtle. I believe a greater push is being made (directly and indirectly) for a more agnostic or athestic culture. To be fair - I think there are some Republicans doing the same ...
-
I prefer having the freedom to make up my own mind who I vote for and not made to feel intimidated for my choices afterwords love doris

Don't know - but given some of the things I heard come out of the mouths of those within the Occupy movement, I wouldn't be shocked if the results were similar...It's probably these same 'intellects' who were behind the 'only dummies listen to/watcy Fox News' 'report'...LOL

President Obama does have a "record" now .... what he has done and what he has not done ....(something to show who he is and what he wants and what he is doing to accomplish what is in his thoughts) .. *You probably won't see it through the main media .... The main media is out to Destroy the other side ... if you can't beat them ..... Destroy them.

Sounds like most of the people posting here too...... Speaking of victory parties......why is it that Obama had the most extravagant, most expensive victory party of all times?
