Sorry, I really thought it was a sidetrack ... He ran on a ticket of "Change" Change is cheap if the one doing the talking is not willing to change himself.
Would be quite a three-ring circus if he dared to propose the he and all members of Congress have the same healthcare the rest of us do. Still, I'm not at all certain, but I believe that he and Michelle pay for their own healthcare insurance. Just as they pay for their own white house meals. And don't forget, Obama has written many personal checks to Americans in need.
All US Presidents and their immediate families receive free health care and the President has a Dr. close by at all time for security reasons. But the question is why aren't the republicans on this site bragging about their awesome primary candidates? It's been like crickets in here And why aren't they defending their great spokesman Limbaugh? Sorry, I couldn't resist
I was not talking about all the other Presidents, and you all know it. The President should lead by example - as Commander In Chief those who've put their lives in harms way for the sake of liberty & freedom. That's not cheap - it's too easy for the wealthy to give the shaft to those of lesser means - I'm talking about what the Obama is doing to active duty & the retired U.S. military. Yes, he is wealthy - very wealthy

...but three of the four (Ron Paul being the odd man out) could run circles around the Obama administration. Ron Paul would be just another Obama serving under the Republican tag...
You are so wrong on both of those counts. I'm not at all a supporter of Ron Paul, but he is the GOP's worst nightmare. And do you think three morally deficient dweebs like Santorum, Romney and Gingrich could run circles around Obama??? Seriously???? Your blind partisanship is chipping away at your cred, my conservative friend.

Mitt Romney made more money last year than Obama has in his entire lifetime. Is it any wonder why Republicans don't want millionaires and billionaires to be taxed a little more to help low income military and low income working citizens?

They get taxed more than you think (or give credit for)....roughly 1400 people (millionaires) slipped through the cracks last year and didn't pay taxes - as reported by the IRS - and the Dems want to create another knee jerk reaction instead of just having the IRS tighten up the loose ends. The rest duly paid what they owed and any so called 'loopholes' they took advantage of are the same 'loopholes' we mere mortals get (tax breaks on investments - I make a modest income but have both a 401K as well as a traditional IRA account - which is allowing me the same tax breaks 'rich' people get). I'm all for everyone paying their fair share...but I don't think rich people should be singled out and punished because a few people think we should live in a Robin Hood society. And save your homeless/starving rhetoric for some other sucker who doesn't understand the system and will buy into your baloney. The people who live in the streets and are starving here in America are only doing so because they chose not to get help...anyone who qualifies (i.e who lives in poverty conditions) is eligable for welfare benefits - which includes food, housing, nominal amount of money, medical care...etc - and they've had those benefits for many years (not some new Obama or Leftist 'savior' plan that just popped out there now just because everything is Bush's fault)...that's the other funny thing I heard on TV several days ago...some people from the extreme left still trying to sell the 'bu bu bu but Bush' garbage when trying to explain Obama's failures

Most liberals -- excluding the extremists -- want all working people above the poverty line to pay the same rate. Shouldn't this be a no-brainer?

It should be. I've been following the posts for a few hours now ( ), and didn't want to interrupt the conversation, but I wanted to jump in here and support Audi's point. I'm done now. Please continue.

Then why is the group who's paying the highest rate being attacked with demands that they pay even more? 35% is the highest tax bracket and that's what any household bringing in more than roughly 380K is paying. If you make what lay people call 'normal money', you're paying between 25 and 28% http://www.moneychimp.com/features/tax_brackets.htm The above link is for 2011 tax year - which is what people just filed (or will file by April) In my opinion, the big stink being made about this topic is all about a tiny percentage who screwed the system and got over...not tax rates...if you want to collect the money from the few who got over, you might have enough money to pay for the Obama's next vacation (should go to feeding the poor, but it wouldn't)

How many vacations did Bush take? I forget.

Warren Buffet and Bono for President! I have influenced more income than Buffet...and my eyes are green

You got me there - Obama's only been on one...albeit a 3+ year one. But he has flown away many times while on this long vacation...LOL But I give him credit - he's already setting up his next career (which starts after next Jan) as a singer

Bono President material. He collected 150 million for charity and than didn't give it anyone. Says one thing does another. Turns out he was collecting it for actually charity like he implied . He was collecting it for studying charity or something like that. I think Warren Buffet is a old enough geezer who could afford to give back some of his 58 billion . Like 57!!

Cool little song sung to the tune of "HELP" HELP! HELP! I needed Romney. HELP! Now I don't want Romney. HELP! You know I need someone else! When I was looking for a winning candidate I never worried about getting stuck with a lightweight. But now I've got Paul, Gingrich, Romney and Santorum. Now I find I change my mind. When they say something dumb! Help me if you can. Mitch turned me down, and Chris Christie says he won't be comin' 'round. Help me find someone who's not a clown. Won't you please, please help me! Help me...oooo

Winning entry for dumbest line (but cool song lyric - perhaps...LOL) courtesty of Barrack Obama: 'Unemployment Stimulates the Economy' (Sung to 'The Pound is Sinking') with second place going to 'The Church is required to hand out contraceptives' (Sung to 'Norwegien Wood') 3rd place goes to 'Let's make gas 10 dollars a gallon so everyone will buy an electic car (sung to 'Everybody's got something to hide except me and my monkey') 4th place goes to 'The Taliban is our friend, not foe' (Sung to 'Mistress and Maid')
