(I think I have seen some "destructive conservatism" around...) well... these days I've been wondering, what now? what now my love? now that is over? how can I... I mean system collapse? or system big change?. The 90 days, Soros, Lagarde. One of the person I know that has been more spot on these days think it's all decided now. That is has been seen that the necessary changes that must be done (to make capitalism survive) and they will be done, this Summer and Fall. Bit of something like the New Deal, for instance. Reversing inequality, controlling finance economy... etc. There will be resistance, some will say they're mad, there will be some shock at first... Actually I think the economy will be worse at first, cause many will be afraid of the changes and will avoid investing or spending or doing business, etc. But then it will get better finally, reversing the infamous "neoliberalism" that has done all that you know in the last 30 years or so. Still that little shock would be nothing compared to the shock that would have happened after a global collapse... End of tranmission. So long neoliberalism. I survived neoliberalism, you survived neoliberalism. War is over, thanks for the "show". A song to celebrate it Billy Joel playing The Time They Are A-Changin' 1987 in the USSR

Jimmy Carter has denounced at least as many Republican human rights violations as well... perhaps...it is why he is a Democrat!

Love Jimmy Carter...Obama too. I have a question for all you republicans and repub supporters. I've been trying to figure out how mittens economic plan differs from bush's and I can't find anything . So how does mittens economic plan differ from bush's : : : : : : : : : : : I'm a policy wonk and inquiring minds want to know...so what's the difference : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : :

These days I'm behaving kind of like financial markets. Changing my views from day to day. One day I think it will be solved, the next day I think it won't. I don't know... no-one knows really. Soros admits he doesn't know. "SPIEGEL ONLINE: You said a few weeks ago that there were only three months left to overhaul the structure of the currency union. Soros: Well, we are down to three days now." "SPIEGEL ONLINE: If you were still an active investor, would you be tempted to make massive bets against the euro? Soros: As an investor, I would be very pessimistic, especially about Europe. But as a believer in an open society, I have to put my faith in the people and leaders of Europe to show some reason" That's it, my mind tells me it won't be fixed, my heart tells me it will be fixed. if Romney plan is like Bush plan (and it's the most voted by the people) then those in the other side of the Atlantic will envy those in these side soon even if the Euro collapses

And we know how much human rights is a staple of the Republican platform.

how I am quoted before saying it... travelling back in time? Well, I'm not preaching, I'm not even saying that is wrong... but there's no way that fits into "being the champion" of "Human Rights".

I've been saying for years that Democrats -- not all but most -- are p-ssies. And here's more evidence of that: House Democrats break rank to back Holder contempt as vote looms: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/06/27/house-democrat-breaks-ranks-to-back-holder-contempt-as-vote-looms/ Amazing that Dems can't stick together on ANYTHING! They're letting the NRA's intimidation scare thme into particiapting in this wholly political, baseless contempt vote.

I agree Oliver and I don't think you could find anyone who would say that bush's economic policies worked...he almost destroyed the world So it would be crazy to advocate for the same policies So I want to know What is it that mittens would do differently : : : : : How are his policies different from bush's : : : : : Surely, his supporters must know and want to spread the news right : : : :

You won't get a direct answer, mustangsally10. They KNOW that their plan is destructive. They just keep riding that whole fiscal government platform -- although it is actually the Democrats who balance budgets. Their real platform is about criminalizing abortions, MORE tax breaks for the wealthy, getting rid of unions, abolishing the minimum wage, Christianity above all other faiths -- and straights before gays. If they really cared about fiscal government (wink-wink, nudge, nudge), then the deficit wouldn't have tripled under Reagan and downright exploded under Bush.

well, "conservatism" is pretty destructive.... Just like neoliberalism is anything but liberal... Ain't the supporters of Roosevelt's New Deal were called "Liberals?" So twisting the words to name the oppossite of that as "neoliberals...". Neoconservatives or neocons would be truer. But "conservative" is focused on preserve (the world?, the peace?, the justice? the economy?)... and conservatism is not about that, is about tradition, "same old". It's traditionalism. There's a moving picture about that, Fiddler in the Roof, all about some man and his family facing traditions. It's not easy. Tradition-Fiddler in the Roof
