What's the weather like where you are?
-
There are days that are cold cold, yet I want to do my walk. I have layered up and gone outside (*trying to find a non windy and non storm times) ... I know it is crazy in lots of ways and question myself ... and then I continue on my way. There is a quietness that is good for thinking and non thinking in a meditation type walk ... the sun can make it seem warmer than what it is ... the snow makes it more work per step than I prefer, but there is not a comparable walking inside my house or attempting a treadmill ... I don't want to drive somewhere to walk inside .... there is a challenge as rough as it is at times. I also know with wind, ice, storm etc... it is not right. Trying to make it happen and be okay too. It is also easy to talk myself out of it and walk circles inside my house.
in a cold snap of single digit Fahrenheit weather at night and morning and going to the teens and a glimpse higher.

We're waiting for our third snowstorm in a week. BRRRRRR

Today it got up to 70 and sunny and waited outside in line for mom to get her 1st Covid shot. It was HOT! Didn't have to wait but maybe 10-15 minutes (we got there early)

^ Is it still humid this time of the year?

No, only in the summer. Unless of course it's raining!

I like the change of seasons here but this month has been pretty bad in extreme temps.
-
Snowstorm arrived and added more snow. 3 more stowstorms predicted in 10 days!
-
Rainy evening here and in the 50s! We should get more rain on Saturday.
-
Friday to be rainy, high 50, low 37.

Years ago before COVID...
There would be a Cold snap that seemed like it would not go away.
During this time I would plan a vacation. If I wanted to get away ... I would pick somewhere between a month or two. (Even if it warmed up some by then, it would keep me warm on cold days when thinking about a beach or casually walking around the warm destination).
If I set up a local trip, it gave me time to think warm by getting all things in place.
I say this because it has been single digit to the teens and maybe a warm 20 some Fahrenheit degree mark.
It has been projected to stay around for awhile. -
Lots of snow. I don't know where to put it all.
I was going to take a half day off work because I am getting some work done in my house. When I saw that snow was coming, I took the full day off. Glad I did, it took a lot of time to shovel. The person showed up to do the work on my house. I thought they might cancel. I had to do some work on the room before the person showed up. I spent a lot of time shoveling, did the work needed for the room just before the person got there. It was close on time, stressful against the clock, but it got done. -
We got a bunch of snow too. Thank God for my neighbor with a plow! But I still have to clean up some that he didn't get. Also I shoveled a path for the dog. So cute when he just runs back & forth in the rut that I made.

Ha ha ha Nancy, something like that.
After the snow, the coldest day of the winter has hit ... the temperature has gone up now ... it is minus 1 Fahrenheit. Looks good from a window. Blue sky.

Brrrrrr it is Freezing! No precipitation expected today. Temperatures staying below freezing and it's 25° feels like 12°. Snow tomorrow Thursday. It will finally get up to 34° on Friday so hopefully something melts! Intermittent snow until next week when it warms up to 40° on Monday 22.
Just really glad I'm not in Texas. Millions of people who are stuck in their houses with such bad icy conditions and rolling electricity. They are turning the electricity on for a couple of hours on people's grid, so they can charge their phones, and then turning it off and then going to another grid, leave the people in the freezing darkness for long hours. Texas just is not used to ice and snow and people don't have melter salt nor do they have snow shovels! It's a dangerous situation and I'm praying for it to warm up down there.

Hope it gets to looking more like this soon!
-
It was 77 here today!
-
Sunny today and high of 68! Up to 72 tomorrow.

We got a nice treat in my area...
Temperature hit the 40 degree Fahrenheit range.
There was a breeze on the cold side, but it was nice to break up snow and cold days.
The above freezing was needed to melt and clear some snow and ice build ups around my house and the side streets. A slow melt that was needed and enough to clear some areas. These are short breaks, but nice for now. -
We got up to 45 thank goodness since my gutters are all froze up with ice in them. I even got a roof leak in the kitchen because of it. I got a handyman guy that came & shoveled my roof Sunday night. I went out yesterday to shovel some of the heavy snow off of my evergreens. The snow was so deep. When you took a step your foot just sank way down. I fell over once & couldn't get up out of the snow! LOL. Finally did but I wondered if the people across the street were watching me.
