What's the weather like where you are?

Until recent years, I thought Texas never had any serious floods. It was such a pain (I thought) when our basement flooded with 3 or 5 inches. That alone did a lot of damage to the furniture (slowly). No comparisons!
All floods are bad! Even when there's barely any water in the house, just a little water in the house is bad enough let alone 2 or 3 feet of water in your house or your entire house is under water. They're all bad!

I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that Houston got hit bad, Houston really got hit bad! My Cousin (Who lives in Houston but is in San Antonio right now) has been talking with some friends that live in Houston, his friends homes are under water as well! And we thought Katrina was bad, Harvey is worse! On a good note, San Antonio is in the clear! San Antonio was LUCKY!

Good to hear you're ok. The videos on TV of the rescues are just terrible. I hope it starts to clear up but looks like more rain is coming.

It reminds me of Paul's song, "Too Much Rain," which was released just two weeks after Hurricane Katrina struck. Interesting that he must have written and recorded that well before the fact.

Sending many prayers out to those affected in Texas. This seems worse than Hurricane Sandy was for my area. Please get out, don't worry about your belongings and stay safe!!! So happy San Antone is lucky

My Aunt and Uncle in TX have gotten about 30 inches where they live. They thankfully live up on a hill so they've been spared the flooding, but so many more in TX are not so fortunate.

I'm glad that your Aunt and Uncle are fine, its good to hear a good positive story despite the horror of Harvey that claimed Houston as well as other cities. How are you doing paulfan11?

I feel bad for the people there .... I really do - ( that being said) I feel bad for the animals ... Their world changed without The same warning Access and options to leave. Left behind in some cases. There is likely the instinct Intuition and gut feel ... It is tough to look in their eyes Or body language And not feel hit with sadness Bummed out for them.

Dogs are better dealing with it than cats. I saw a picture of a cat swimming - in Houston area. Yea, the cat was dealing with it (didn't seem too happy). But, have you ever tried to give a cat a bath?! If you have, you know what I mean! Dogs typically love baths if they owner gives it. Not so with cats! The cat was swimming - a choice between life of death. She or he - didn't really have a choice.

At the present: 66?F & partly sunny Today's high: 71?F It feels like 66?F another very mild day...

I don't really remember ever seeing a cat in any of these disaster pics.

At the end of this video, you see the cat on the roof.. http://www.bbc.com/news/video_and_audio/headlines/41114889/i-don-t-know-where-to-start-returning-home-after-harvey

It's more common for a cat to "go up" on things...like getting to higher ground... to escape things. Not so much for a dog. That video is just heartbreaking...

it brought back horrible memories of Hurricane Sandy and the devastation that some people are STILL rebuilding and dealing with.
