I will have to try and catch that. It is sad about Mike Smith. The DC5 had such a great sound and even rivaled the early Beatles at the time as I remember.

Very sad about Mike Smith. Anyhoo, I can't wait to see them (Fab Faux) on the show tonight and at The Keswick Theater on April 5th!!!!! That is in Glenside,Pa very near Phila. This concert has been sold out for months (almost right after they went on sale!)

We are looking forward to April! LOVE The Fab Faux!!!

Me three I like the Fab Faux I was able to talk briefly with all but 1 of the Fab Faux members after a concert in New Brunswick, NJ. I asked Will if they would ever release songs or play concerts by any of the other bands from the sixties (I refered to a video or 2 on YouTube). He said the video was made at a private party - but that there was a good chance they might release an album covering the DC5. So far I've been to concerts where they played & featured the following Fab Four albums: Revolver (Easton, PA) Abbey Road (New Brunswick, NJ) The White Album (NYC) and one in Atlantic City where they played their favorite Fab4 songs.

Thanks to one of the band member's significant other, we had a chance to meet them when they were last at the Keswick in October. They are a very nice group of guys, and soooooo talented!!!! We've seen them five times. We've seen them perform Revolver and Abbey Road in it's entirety. The other three times were a mixed bag of favorites, including much of the White Album. We are hoping at some point they will bring Sgt. Pepper's in it's entirety to the Keswick. We think they are the best Beatles tribute band that we've seen yet. It really doesn't do them justice to even refer to them as a "tribute band." They are just so very talented!

I'm not crazy about "tribute band" because they are so much more than that..There's got to be a better word to describe The Fab Faux Did anyone see the show last night? I'm hoping to catch it at work( I don't get that channel at home). You know, I was listening to the DC5 yesterday, and forgot how much I enjoyed their music. DC5-Because Beatles-Because I just realized both bands have songs titled "Because"

No - I didn't see the show, wish I could have. Personally I used the title tribute band to be as fair as I can to others in the UK, Japan, Holland, elsewhere in the USA all of whom have Beatles tribute bands. My latest discovery (several months back) was through another board member from CA who introduced anyone interested to a group called The Sun Kings. I have to admit, they in their own way are quite good too. I'm a little more fussy than some since I am a musican (not by trade). But, I can tell tallent. They have it too, see for yourself http://the-sun-kings.com/

Well there you go Andy giving me yet another band to study!! They are REALLY good! I also noticed that they're playing in Louisville on Memorial Day weekend....My daughter is moving there very soon...hmmmm. The Fab Faux call themselves a "tribute band" but I still think there's a better word.... Oh...I watched the Hall of Fame induction ceremony yesterday and the Faux didn't get to play "Catch Us If You Can" but did do an amazing job singing with Joan Jett. I heard their backing vocals! It was a really great show..Gamble and Huff were inducted as well. I forgot they were in Philly! I'll probably watch it again because customers came in and interrupted my television watching! The nerve of some people!!
