great recording: Fab Faux Radio City Music Hall Baby You're a Rich Man This is audio I (Number1FauxFan) recorded with a Zoom H2 Digital Recorder in my shirt pocket. I didn't have a video camera. The slide show consists mostly of pictures taken the day after the Fab Faux 10th Anniversary Show at Radio City Music Hall. Obviously the pictures with snow were take on a previous visit to the city.

You need not "watch" them all - just start them while doing other chores. Somebody used a very small, high quality recording device to capture a few of the Fab Faux's song recreations. So there isn't anything different to look at once you watch any one of the following: . I'm Only Sleeping . Strawberry Fields . Baby You're A Rich Man there might be others ... The sound quality of the above is fantastic

here's something cool: Fab Faux- Watcher of the Sky (RCMH- Sat 9/20/08 I) During their 10 year celebration of playing Beatles music at Radio City, Jack Petruzzelli appeared on the house organ playing a long intro to what turned out to be an old GENESIS song written by Tony Banks. Then it breaks into Only A Northern Song
So very Rick Wakeman!!!!!

I WON TWO TICKETS TO THE FAB FAUX'S GRAND GALA SHOW ON SATURDAY Andre Gardner was giving away tickets during his Breakfast With The Beatles show on Sunday morning. I dialed and redialed and finally the phone started ringing. I wasn't sure how long to stay on, but I figured just hang tight until the show ended. There were only ten minutes left. Finally someone said Hello...You've won!!!! Just like that!!!!! I was shocked and stunned, couldn't remember my name for a sec, then thankfully my brain came back. The other day I went to the Fab Faux site because I wanted to ask about Rich's album that he's working on.BTW...The three song sampler is fabulous. I saw that there was this event in Wilmington, Delaware. A Fab Faux concert, then parties afterwards. Sounds like a dream night for me! So, I tried to buy a ticket or at least looked at the link, but for some reason I thought that it was sold out. I didn't forget about it and when Andre announced that he was giving away 4 tickets (I think) I gave it a shot NEVER EVEN EXPECTING TO GET THROUGH. BUT I DID!!!!!! This may be the first thing that I've ever won in my life, and couldn't believe my good fortune. My first phone call was to Anita. She is a Fab Faux lover and I knew that she was the person to invite. Anita appreciates my "tru luv" of the Fab Faux, and also is a huge fan of the band. Anita was sooooooo happy for me! Thankfully Anita said that she would love to go and now I have a grand night ahead of me, a beautiful friend to share it with, and the greatest band that ever is..(.can't say was because you know who that would be.) Hopefully, I can get some decent pictures of my gorgeous dress .( did I mention it is a black tie affair?) Thank you God, Andre Gardner, Anita, The Fab Faux, and the United States of America for making this all possible. More to come......... link to event... http://www.thegrandwilmington.org/Grand_Gala

I do not know anyone that LOVES The Fab Faux as much as you do! I am so very happy for you! I am honored, and delighted that you asked me to attend with you. As usual, we'll have a blast! Let's see......Black evening dress, black heels, black stockings, black clutch......I think I am ready for a black tie event! #9, #9, #9 Congratulations again, (((((Mary)))))!

Did I wake up from my dream yet? This was the best night of my life, and I do not want to face the real world. I can't even write. Anita and I met at the hotel, and walked 2 blocks to the Grand. It seemed so surreal...I was there, walking down the street dressed in the most beautiful garment I have ever owned with my friend Anita. I was so very excited. I can't think.... Our seats were in the balcony and there were 6 other people who had won tickets through WMGK. There were speeches and dedications made ( this was for the Opera house I believe ) FINALLY, the music starts...that music from "Help" comes on. Then you KNOW the Fab Faux will be walking on stage any second. OH MY GOD!!! I forget the set list, but 3 things from the show stand out in my mind. Frank singing "Let It Be." I couldn't take my eyes off him. His voice was SUPERB and for the frst time at a Fab Faux concert, I felt like I was going to cry. It was THAT BEAUTIFUL! Anita and I looked at each other afterwards and we were both stunned and amazed at what we had just witnessed. ( why am I crying now?) Will singing "Fool On The Hill." He sounded like never before. It was as if Will had written the song himself. Along with Frank playing the harmonica. I had tunnel vision. Will"s beautiful interpretation of the song was stellar. His movements to the song reminded me of sign language. Will's expressive gesture's and vocals were something that I've never seen before. The hand-off of drumsticks during a song. I have not ever seen this, EVER, and was in awe of their perfect timing. I think it was Rich to Jimmy. The audience was very reserved...except for one person. Guess who that was? I let loose and the band appreciated my enthusiasm. I KNOW that the Fab Faux have a whole new group of fans in the Delaware area. After the concert, Anita and I picked up some extra programs (which are very well put together) and made our way to the stage to look for pics that Will throws into the audience. Anita found one, and got some more from the Fab Faux crew. We walked back to the hotel, where the parties were happening. The walk back was AMAZING!!! THEY HAD BEATLE'S MUSIC PLAYING IN THE STREETS!!!! SURREAL!!! Then, I met Jack. He is super sweet and said that he did appreciate my encouraging hoots and hollars from the balcony. He smiled at me. Anita and I sat in the lobby just people watching and suddenly.....the elevator opened and RICH came out!!!!!! Be still my heart...I jumped up, ran over to him, tried not to gush...he recognized me and said that he too appreciated my enthusiasm at the show. I quickly asked Anita to take pictures, because I knew that my time would be limited with Rich. Then the moment was over. I can't write anymore. THANK YOU ANITA for being such a fantastic person and friend. Thank you for the snacks , cards, and oh so thoughtful gifts!!!! Anita can tell you more. There was a violinist, a stopped grandfather clock, people in formal attire...does that remind you of the Titanic?? "Old men eating oysters."

I have been so involved with my fabulous night that I forgot to post the latest Fab Faux news: Howard Stern and Sirius Radio Present The Fab Faux Live In The Studio Performing Abbey Road ~ Side Two Excerpts (from You Never Give Me Your Money to Her Majesty) Monday, December 22nd - 7 p.m. Eastern Tune in to Howard 101 or sirius.com/howardstern for more information. I wish that I did have Sirius Radio, but am hoping to hear the show ( or bits of it) on YouTube. The Fab Faux are playing 2 shows at Terminal 5 in New York. Friday December 26: Abbey Road and Let It Be Saturday December 27: The White Album I have been talking to Andy about possibly going to the Friday show. It's a difficult decision for me to make. I want to go, but I've never been to New York, and am kind of nervous about it...the driving part.

Mary would really like me to post about my experience, so......It has been just about one week since I attended Delaware's 2008 Grand Gala featuring The Fab Faux with (((((Mary))))). I met Mary at the beautiful Hotel du Pont. Pulling into valet, exiting my vehicle, I promptly smacked breast to chest directly into a gentleman fully dressed in his black tie and tails, dropping my purse. As he bent down to pick up my purse, I explained to him how sorry I was for bumping into him, asking for his forgiveness. Handing me my purse, he said it was his pleasure, and asked if I had anything else that he could pick up! Right then and there I knew it was going to be a fun night in Delaware! Mary arrived shortly in the beautiful hotel lobby, decorated for Christmas with its 15' Christmas tree. Mary looked stunning in her golden brown taffeta dress. She had a few wardrobe malfunctions, which she swiftly remedied! There was a beautiful mahogany antique grandfather clock in the lobby which was permanently stopped at 6:40. This became somewhat of a problem as Mary was absolutely euphoric, and was completely incapable of keeping track of time. Hence, she could not understand why time was moving so slowly! The last thing that Mary and I agreed upon the night prior to the show was that we would NOT walk two and one half blocks in four inch heels. We would take the hotel car, or hail a taxi. Unfortunately, the hotel car would not be back in time, and apparently in Wilmington, there is no such thing as "hailing a taxi!" And so the walk of pain began! Certain streets were blocked off, police presence everywhere! As we approached The Grand Opera House, Mary was excited and very pleased to find that the anti-fur protesters were in full force. I do not know if they were PETA, Mary would know more about that than I would. I could not stop, as they had a horrific video airing. Mary is well aware that I am not able to view those. She stopped for a moment to thank those folks for their good work and efforts. The Grand is a BEAUTIFUL old opera house......Something right out of yesteryear. It seemed as though the speeches and dedications went on FOREVER! Mary was just about jumping out of her skin by the time the show began. The audience was predominately made up of wealthy, political minded individuals. Let's just say that they were reserved! Mary's enthusiasm for The Fab Faux was anything but reserved! She soon had everyone around us cheering, which eventually filtered to the floor level. So tuned in to the band was she, that at one point Will was talking directly to her, asking "A grape time? A break time? Oh, a great time!" The Fab Faux......What may I possibly say? As always......Absolute PERFECTION! Sooooo Good! So much fun to watch! A joy to hear! Mary is spot on regarding Frank's singing of Let It Be. He is always good, but he must have sipped some special tea prior to the show. As Mary stated, his voice was absolutely superb! Holding back tears, Mary looked at me and asked "Was that as good as I think it was?" To which I replied, "Yes it was!" I enjoy watching Frank during Fool On The Hill, as I enjoy watching all that he is doing during that song. He is in perpetual motion during this song, switching harmonicas, etc.. Again, agreeing with Mary, Will absolutely sang his heart out during Fool On The Hill. I was really taken back by the performance. It would have been very easy to become emotional. The drumstick hand-off while playing that Mary refers to shocked me! I do not know that I have ever seen them do that before. Not a beat was skipped! I thought the hand-off was from Rich to Will, but Mary would have a better eye on Rich than I would. She would definitely know better! Needless to say, While My Guitar Gently Weeps was a show stopper. We've seen quite a few Beatles tribute groups. In my opinion, none can compare to The Fab Faux. They are in a class of their own! PERFECTION! PERFECTION! PERFECTION! Thanks to Mary's interaction with a kind man, we were able to procure a couple of extra programs so that I could bring one home to each of my children. Thanks to a very nice member of The Fab Faux crew, I was also able to bring home three of Will's guitar picks to my children. I found one on the floor, but gave that one to Mary, as that was one that Will had tossed into the audience. I thought that she should have that one. The walk back......at a certain point I realized that Mary was beyond euphoric, and no longer taking it all in. I asked her to stop for a minute and check out the street. It was tree-lined, all twinkling with white lights. Listen......They were piping Beatles music into the streets of Wilmington! And the sky......Crisp and clear with tons of stars. A creme tangerine moon bursting from its circumference! It hung so low, it seemed as though if you had gone atop of one of the buildings, you could have reached out and touched it! I have never seen a moon like that in my entire life! Standing there on the sidewalk, the tree lights hanging over us, hearing Beatles music, staring at the moon......It was a dream sequence! Back to the hotel for the after party......As we walked into the lobby, there was a violinist playing Yesterday. BEAUTIFUL! There were several rooms with different events talking place. Silver service, white gloves, fountains circulating chocolate, fruit volcanoes, a golden ballroom, dancing, several bands, an orchestra, adult body painting, and yes......tons of oysters! Mary spotted Jack, and went over to speak with him for a moment. By choice, I remained behind. He was very sweet with her. Mary and I rested for a bit in the lobby prior to my leaving. That is when Rich emerged from the elevator! I have never seen a woman move so quickly in my life! Mary was out of her chair and talking with Rich before I had even blinked my eyes. She kept waving me over, but I did not join her, as I wanted her to have that moment to herself. She tossed me her camera and asked me to take their picture. I have never seen Mary so happy! She was absolutely elated!!! It was 11:30. I told Mary that I had to go. I did not want to run the risk of my carriage turning into a pumpkin! Mary, you wanted a post......You got one! (((((Mary))))), thank you for allowing me to be a part of the happiest night of your life. It was an honor, and a pleasure watching the joy that you experienced that evening. Thank you to (((((Andre))))) for randomly choosing the most appropriate person you possibly could have to give this evening to. Thank you to (((((The Fab Faux))))) for giving Mary a night that she will remember for the rest of her life.
-
You captured the evening so perfectly with your beautiful words (((Anita))) I forgot about the moon and the stars...I was totally in the moment from what I can remember. Which moment? Thank you for your post (((Anita))). My memories were getting fuzzy and your words made the night crystal clear. "While My Guitar gently Weeps' ...what can I say...The Fab Faux can blow your mind with that one. The animal rights group outside was PETA. I have never been around so much fur in my life and was happy that they were there. Today the Fab Faux are on with Howard Stern....if you have Sirius radio listen for me!!!! Thank you (((Anita)))
