Did anyone do the sound check last night? Curious of what he played then. Looking forward to my first McCartney show outside the U.S. tonight!

Did he have a break half way as it's a long set?
Nope. He never takes breaks during a show!
Hope his voice is ok

He was on top form throughout - bearing in mind his age. Some have commented when he does concerts 2 nights in a row his voice suffers, so we'll see. But I doubt it, to be honest. You won't really notice or care much anyway, when you're in the moment!

Here's another vid of "Temporary Secretary" from a much closer angle!
Oh, he's got to keep that in the setlist!!
It was sooooooo AMAZING to hear it, we've been singing it all morning

Wonderfull and even quite amazing. Much better than in Warsaw 2 years ago. I don't know what has caused this change of his voice: medicine ? Special training ? Technical improvement ?

"This is what Grandad does!" Fab show. I thought it was a great mix of Beatles, Wings, solo and NEW stuff. So enjoyed the music but find the O2 an uncomfortable venue, especially as I was so high up. But I could see well and was impressed by the helpful O2 staff. My fifth time of getting my Paulie fix, long may he continue!

Have texted friends about the show, we're all in agreement. Paul sounded in great shape and was Electric...and very animated! Great new vids and the pre show video was new as well and very enjoyable!! Was so very happy that we also heard Hope For The Future, Queenie Eye, New, Another Girl, Can't Buy Me Love, Dave Grohl with Paul singing I Saw Her Standing There, Save Us ...all songs that had been added since We saw Paul since Verona!! Paul has blown our minds! Came into the show with no sleep for a couple of days and was just fully energized from Paul and the crowd! Brilliant, Fantabulous, Awesome Cool man! BEST PAUL SHOW EVVVVVVVVAAAAAAA

It is unbelievable how high level of his shows Paul can maintain and how he actually gets better. Or at least it seems to me. I have only seen him twice - in 2004 and in 2011. He was great in 2004, but way better in 2011 IMO. I haven't seen any of the older shows, but have seen many many DVDs and I think that somewhere around 2008 or 2009 he just got it all absolutely right and maintains the level from then on. Of course his voice is a fragile instrument and he has to be more than careful about it, especially with age. So I hope that he will be able to go through the tour and through the subsequent nights without any damage. I am sure he will It is such a pleasure to read about all the excitement of those who have been there the last night!

Don;'t be silly! it's good to ask these things. People do both! When Macca comes out everyone tends to stand, towards the middle of the set and with the lesser known songs some then sit down. And at the later part of the show there's usually a song that gets EVERYONE on their feet (last night it was Obla-Dee Obla Daa) and it stays like that 'till the end. I was in block 110 last night with an excellent view and stood for most of it, sat down for some parts, and it was brilliant. Good energy levels and no one complained that I stood. As long as you actually enjoy yourself and it shows, whether sitting or standing, you'll have a great night and hopefully those around you will the same.

Thankyou I'm just leaving from canterbury

Have a GREAT time! I'm in Block 101 tonight, so I'll see everyone!

@"yankeefan7": Think big picture; think about the glorious nads it took for Paul McCartney to whip out a left-field choice like "Temporary Secretary." And here I thought Macca was just talking out of his ass when he'd mentioned performing it in recent interviews. And, on top of that, I concluded that Wix and Macca's sound-crew were just noodling with that electro-loop at the Budokan sound-check last month for the helluvit. In hindsight -- despite those clear, blatant hints -- I never dreamed that performing "Temporary Secretary" was seriously on the man's agenda. It tells me that, maybe, he's not so committed anymore to callously discarding a solo record, just because its promotional tour has ended. It also tells me that Paul McCartney could be keenly aware that there was a lengthy period before Beatlemania's spectacular resurgence -- and Macca's laser-focus on it -- that a guy named Paul McCartney was making inventive records during the interim.
I agree. I just watched the youtube video you posted, and I must concede it sounds great live. And a strong crowd response!
"Think big picture; think about the glorious nads it took for Paul McCartney to whip out a left-field choice like "Temporary Secretary."" It would have even been more glorious if he had the "nads" to open the show ith it - lmao !!

Another Girl ( far away but complete) https//
And article with video of Paul & David Grohl http//www.nme.com/news/paul-mccartney/85661 -
He was outstanding last night. I have seen him so many times but this has to be the best ever & not just because I was so near the front. Paul must be Superman. I just don't know where he gets it from considering his age. I am a lot younger & I am shattered. Three hours, no fluid, barely draws bretah. He can teach all these other rock stars a lesson charging exorbitant amounts who do an hour, have a break & then come back for anther hour. I thought the roof was coming off when Temporary Secretary started. He has to pull something out of the bag for Liverpool

"In my life" for the Liverpool gig would be perfect!!!

. I was in B1 last night, and we stood the entire show! Lots of people around me danced all night as well. It was a very happy crowd! Nice that Paul started in early with the changes...I'm thinking it set the mood as a festive party as far as I could see... We all got up from the very start and that was it!! Peace on Earth, Paul style...at the O2 London, Planet Earth so have fun!
