He couldn't have played "No More Lonely Nights" or "With A Little Luck" instead'.............. :
Yep, Temporary Secretary is much cooler.
Ah, tastes do vary. "Temporary Secretary" is one of very few Macca songs I consider utterly unlistenable. I'm still happy to see him drop an obscure solo track into the show, but I could name maybe -- I dunno, 500 or so -- that I'd rather hear.

RockyRaccoon68:
I hope he does Another Girl, no sign of it and he's reached the closing trio on the piano.
It was played during the encore at that Robin Hood Foundation gig in NYC, so here's hoping it shows up there!

LOL. I said I would rather hear around 100 earlier - ha ha

But they pulled it off like bosses.

Oh, I'm sure we all have a list of songs we wish he'd do. "Temporary Secretary" isn't my favorite. I think the excitement is mainly because it's, as the other forum is named, "totally unexpected." And it's always nice when something different gets tossed into the set.

In addition, once again he adds a song that is over 30 years old.

Very true and the unexpected song was not a Beatle song which makes it even more unexpected - lol.

Fair enough. For me it's near the top. You have to admit that it's a much ballsier choice than almost any addition he could have made.

ANOTHER GIRL

ANOTHER GIRL
He played it? YES!
-
Oh, so happy he left that in the set list!!!!!

Dave Grohl is on stage for I Saw Her Standing There

That's usually my gripe...but I do like Temporary Secretary & at least it's not another Beatles song. Which song got dropped for this? Prolly something from New?

I'm not sure if he dropped anything, possibly Save Us or Can't Buy Me Love/All My Loving. He did it after Listen to What the Man Said and before Let Me Roll It.

So, besides 'Temporary', any other changes? how's the set list so far?

I wholeheartedly stand by the decision to perform it. As I'd posted similarly before: -"Temporary Secretary" has achieved a cult-status within the current, indie-rock music scene that can't be dismissed; -The Twin Freaks remix made some noise in the club-scene a few years ago; -and it is among the, let's say, proto-wave influences on a lot of new wave projects by acts like Kajagoogoo, Visage and Soft Cell. It has gotten better with age, unquestionably.

Looks like Temporary Secretary was added between Listen to What the Man Said and Let Me Roll It, not entirely clear if anything was dropped to make way. Day Tripper gone from the first encore and Another Girl in.

Good move, now if he would only add "Soily" - lol

Good for Paul to change things up. I still would not travel to hear Temporary Secretary live. Not one of my favorites.
