I'm hoping the red on my legs is not poison ivy.
were you in the woods?
Just took a stroll in my backyard to see what I need to dig up tomorrow before it gets too hot. Didn't see anything that looked like poison ivy and don't remember touching anything. Rubbed all the places with ointment that I keep for that just in case. Is it a heat wave there, as well? It is sweltering here.
Yep. And humid. I am tired of it already. We had a few nice days but now it's back to the 90s with the high humidity & high dew points. It just drains you. I was cutting branches for branch pick up & I finally had enough & called someone to cut the darn trees down.

Haha! Good for you. Seriously. I'm having someone transplant a Rose of Sharon to the other property line, near it.

Man! You were working hard. It's pretty tall, now, still blooming. I've decided to have them come back in October to do that after it blooms out. They're going to dig up shrubs in front of the house. BIG, older ones. I'll replace with dwarf evergreens.

Yeah that's probably better to have them do it in Oct.

That I better start thinking of and making my sign for the Paul concert in about three weeks!

I've been under a rock today...actually no TV and the end of vacation. So I just realized it's 911 Prayers to all affected, which is a lot of people. The day things changed in the US.... Going back to the rest of my vaca now...

Thanks for the pep talk !!! ð??? Actually, I'm moving furniture around to finally finish painting a room I started a while ago...and listening to my stereo, and happy that I have the time to do it

^^ glad you are having fun. There is nothing like music to pick you up! Also happy for your stained glass project. While I was listening to Elton John and Band on BBC2 I was cleaning and happy the whole time!

^Kitty, music really works to make life a happier place, doesn't it? Got to listen to a bit of that concert with one of my friends on Skype. We went to see ELO there a couple of years ago! Thinking today about the deeply emotional trials of a family member. I really don't know what to do. Praying is all I can do. I wish I could find the right words.

Of the 2,977 victims killed in the September 11 attacks, 411 were emergency workers in New York City who responded to the World Trade Center. This included: 343 firefighters (including a chaplain and two paramedics) of the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) 37 police officers of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Police Department (PAPD) 23 police officers of the New York City Police Department (NYPD) and 8 emergency medical technicians and paramedics from private emergency medical services This lists those emergency workers above who died while fulfilling their duties at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. I am thinking that calling 9-11 "Patriots Day" is overly Nationalist and that it should become a day of recognition to Emergency Workers. I heard a Commentator on The Miss America Pageant refer to the 2,977 victims as "Our Fellow Countrymen" as if the people killed were all Americans. There were many people from many other countries who sadly died there as well. We need to bring people on earth together, not divide them by the overly nationalist views of a few.

Don't forget the trained search & rescue dogs. This is about the ones that are still alive. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2033628/Surviving-9-11-rescue-dogs-scoured-Ground-Zero-bodies-commemorated-decade-difficult-mission.html http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/AQVcaOsb_Ro/maxresdefault.jpg
