Commander Jeff Williams returned from the ISS on his 4th mission with a new record of 534 days in Space! Wonder if he'll jump in a pool like Commander Kelly did. Apparently, one of the things you miss most is H2O!!! Wonder what ancient man thought when he saw an eclipse... the rock cairns made me think of the ancient... am wondering what the rocks mean.... http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap160907.html

Just ran across some new JUNO pics!!! Way Amazing! http://alltechnews.org/2016/09/10/jupiter-is-hardly-recognizable-in-junos-latest-images/

Thanks for posting!! Saw the infrared photos of the aurora and it looked massive!! http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/spaceimages/details.php?id=PIA21033 Click on the bottom for more images... magnetic Milky Way
Waves detected the signature emissions of the energetic particles that generate the massive auroras which encircle Jupiter's north pole. These emissions are the strongest in the solar system. Now we are going to try to figure out where the electrons come from that are generating them. Also Saturn's pole is hexagonal!! So very cool. Can't find the Magnetic Milky Way now
will keep checking for it... Eye of Saturn https://www.nasa.gov/sites/default/files/styles/full_width_feature/public/pia18273_full.jpg?itok=eTUGAIB0

Triplets Love Paul:
Did anyone check out Venus and the moon this evening? About thirty minutes after sunset, I walked outside to have a look at the alluring indigo night sky. There they were, a heavenly sight to behold, Venus shimmering like a brilliant diamond just below a luminous waxing crescent moon - stunningly beautiful!!! Sooooo inspiring!!!
Hope That You Can Enjoy A Beautiful Harvest Moon On The 16th, (((Anita)))!

They found the lander that landed on the comet.
And, have a sad yet fruitful end to the mission. http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap160912.html

Hi (((Steve))), Beautiful Harvest Moon image, thanks so much for posting!
I will indeed be enjoying tomorrow evening's Harvest Moon and hope you will enjoy as well!
Did you happen to see the Sturgeon Moon back on the 18th of August? It was AMAZING!!! I had just finished viewing a marching band parent preview, waiting for my children to arrive in the parking lot. There it was, hanging low, a stunningly beautiful, massive creme tangerine moon! ? Truly a sight to behold!!! Everyone in the parking lot was standing and staring in awe! Always LOVE to see these beautiful offerings! Looking forward to tomorrow night!
-
Thanks! I and a friend were sitting out last weekend trying to remember the name of the August full moon. Now, I know what to tell him!
I will be out to look for the Harvest moon tomorrow night! Providing the sky is clear! We've had our share of clouds and rain lately!
Thanks again, they are beautiful offerings and gifts indeed!

Great photo. Did you take this?
-
^ That is indeed a wonderful photo! We've had some beautiful clear nights here...where the moon has seemed so close you could almost reach up and touch it! The Sea of Tranquility and the Sea of Serenity a blue grey so brightly lit...
-
I didn't take the photo. Yes it is beautiful! I remember the first time I saw the moon through a pair of powerful binoculars. It was a revelation moment! It was no longer just a light in the sky...it was an actual tangible physical large sphere. It was 100 times more beautiful then!

Happy Full Moon tonight!ð??

You're welcome!
We went to Atlantic City last night to have dinner at one of the vintage restaurants down there (great ravioli). Upon leaving the restaurant, there it was, that alluring, HUGE Harvest Moon!
The moon was eerily beautiful, brightly illuminating the surrounding clouds - stunning!!!
Hope you experienced clear skies and a great view!
