^ Had a look earlier this evening......beautiful!

Yes, I have had alot of fun watching the skies this year. On May 09th: The Moon shines between the planet Mars and the star Regulus in the constellation of Leo. http://earthsky.org/tonight/moon-shines-between-mars-and-regulus-on-evening-of-may-9?utm_source=EarthSky+News&utm_campaign=a0a54b36e7-EarthSky_News&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_c643945d79-a0a54b36e7-394032945 Have fun stargazers!

Meteor shower tonight (Friday) from around 10 eastern time to 4 am. Look to the North. Supposed to be anywhere from 30 up to hundreds an hour.

^ We are very much looking forward to this!

Couldn't see them here. Was too hazy.

I wanted to stay up for a bit and try to see some of it, but was too tired from working so many hours in the last 2 months.

^ Lovely!

The moon has been an AMAZING sight to behold over the last couple of nights! Tuesday night it peered through cloud cover appearing eerily beautiful! Last night's huge appearance in creme tangerine was incredibly romantic, absolutely mesmerizing! Still visible very early this morning, the moon was stunning! A few very cool pictures: http://www.bbc.com/news/in-pictures-29137217

Solar flare heading our way...wonder if it'll produce any aurora (unfortunately cloudy around here with showers on the way, so it won't matter)

Wish the weather was more cooperative the other morning...the fact that it was a 'blood' moon must've made it even that much more breath taking

Very early Wednesday morning, I found myself mesmerized as I gazed upon the blood moon created by the lunar eclipse. Romantically alluring, it was a sight to behold as was the beautiful, bright full moon seen early Thursday morning. LOVE that our home is facing west, truly wonderful to be greeted with such sights to start the day! The sky was eerily beautiful Thursday evening as we briefly walked through a wooded area. The bright full moon illuminated the passing clouds amid the deep indigo night sky - the stuff of great scary films! Welcome to October!

The beaver moon has been a sight to behold - mesmerizing!

I remember the Nike commercial featuring Scottie Pippen, Michael Jordan and John Lennon's song "Instant Karma." You know: we all shine on like the moon, the stars and the sun. Pardon me for being 'off topic'. I just couldn't resist.
