The Sun, the Moon, and the Stars

Love Michio! Have watched many of his talks and interviews. Don't agree completely with everything, although. I did learn from him that blackhole spheres spin very rapidly. It appears that a wandering blackhole may have met up with a huge dust cloud star forming nebulae at one time in the Sombrero Galaxy case. With all of that massive amount of dust spiraling around the spinning equator of the blackhole that it has alligned itself to, I can't help but think that as it is drawn inward and reacts with other dust and particles etc., that it's conversion to energy lends to the hazy globe of light that is being emitted from the galaxy's center. I would love to see a computer model of the galaxy face on. It would be incredibly interesting.
-
I didn't think that any light could escape a black hole? Is it due to the immense pull of the black hole, the stars are being pulled to the center of the galaxy? A computer model would be nice to see! Here's an interesting photo, and really very large! Hope no one posted this yet! http://www.collective-evolution.com/2015/01/20/nasa-has-released-the-largest-picture-ever-taken-it-will-rock-your-universe/

Blackholes certainly vary in size and density as do other celestial bodies. At some point, collections of matter and mass turn into round bodies like moons and planets etc. At what point would a blackhole become so dense that photons could not emit from it? Have often wondered if blackholes themselves are not Big Bang seeds in the making? The link you posted is awesome!!!
-
Steven, you have had me looking into Wiki for the past hour or so, as I was challenged by your question of an escaping photon... it's been a while since I've looked into black holes. This is probably all wrong, but it looks to me, like theory on black holes may be recently changing regarding event horizon singularities and the sticky wicket of energy and it's inability to disappear! I've only seen the Sombrero photos in infared and natural light and the infared version shows less brightness at the center, which would indicate lower temperatures? Also the bright white light that is seen in the natural photo would indicate a higher temperature in K, if what I read is correct and I understand it properly. I think a photo on the ultraviolet spectrum would show if that's true, but I couldn't find one. Then there's the Hawking radiation which seems to be accepted in most theories and is emitted at a temperature determined by mass, charge (the photons?) and the spin, which you had mentioned was very fast spinning. That would make sense then, with the higher temperatures (I think?) There is another factor of 4th dimentional membrane in which gravity (in the black hole) can become weaker due to other (?) forces. Now with the event horizon singularity in question theoretically, there has been proposed a Planck star as the core of black holes which would itself arrive at some type of Big Crunch event, instead of Big Bang and would propel everything back into the Universe similar to a Big Bang. Which sounds like what you were referring to?? Anyway, this has been very very interesting and now I need some physicist to explain it better than Wiki I have no idea if I am understanding this correctly?! Or maybe a really good book to read! The Milky Way over Easter Island Nothing like being on a mountain or on the ocean to really see some stars!
-
^ Thanks for posting that! It was great to read! And that picture of Easter Island is Beautiful! The star view would be overwhelming on a dark island Stephen proposed awhile ago that blackholes did not continue to collapse in on themselves forever, but could radiate energy. I already felt that was true. All bodies of conventional matter eat up other bodies of matter. It is my thoughts that the many blackholes in our universe could eventually eat up all the other matter, and then they themselves could congeal into a mass that would form the singularity? And now, by virtue of overwhelming coincidence aka synchronicity, regarding our recent conversations, there was a phenomenal Hubble Telescope photo in the news today! It is made up from the light of two galaxies which look like eyes, and a gravitational lensing effect, which form to make a Smiley Face! http://www.coasttocoastam.com/cimages/var/ezwebin_site/storage/images/coast-to-coast/repository/photos/smiley-face-in-space/811218-1-eng-US/Smiley-Face-in-Space.jpg

Awww love that Smiley Face... That's a coincidence for sure! It almost looks like an early Frosty the Snowman face to me! I'm really interested in the Black Holes and am going to look for a book this weekend... Dark matter eating Dark Matter, like dark Pac Men...Gobble gobble Thanks for sharing that one!
-
Yes!...That smiley face made me think of that as well! I just watched an excellent NOVA Special on blackholes. It reaffirmed and refreshed a lot of my thoughts on the subject. I wasn't disagreeing earlier about star clusters at the center of galaxies, only that all of the dust in the Sombrero Galaxy made the light hazy as it energized and gave off light. I think you'll really like this when you get time to check it out. It is Incredibly Enlightening!
It's kind of funny how some people still try to describe blackholes in flat 2 dimensional terms when they are really 4 dimensional spheres -
I found this today where an exploded star looks like a cosmic flower! http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/chandra/exploded-star-blooms-like-flower.html#.VN1p5KZOLCR

very cool...a blue wave light in the center with a red light wave edging...we are manifest images and images manifested ...in the mind of god

Steven that was a great NOVA video. It's funny, I had just finished watching a video of Big Black Holes, when I saw the one that you posted. The NOVA one was so well done, I finished watching it after work! I have a much clearer understanding of it all now... thanks for posting it. The 4th dimensional spheres are such a better definition... any other good videos? Kittay, as soon as I saw the photo you posted, this came to mind... had to post!! The patterns in nature seem to be on a quantum level as well !! That was really cool http://www.thelivingmoon.com/41pegasus/04images/Yellowstone/YellowstoneMorningGlory_05a.jpg It's the Morning Glory Pool in Jellystone Park, another flower!

Here's some cool short videos... A flight through hubble deep field

Thanks for posting those videos. I especially enjoyed the 1st one about Hubble and it reminds me of an IMAX I saw in the Museum of Natural History in Kensington. It was a great film and all of the galaxy's in such concentration was mind blowing. I wish I could remember the name of it! I enjoyed the other two videos and couldn't help but watching a number of the videos about lightning!

I believe IMAX had a Hubble Deep Field video out in 3D, not long after the first Hubble Deep Field photos were made public. That's probably what it was or something similar. Extremely cool...either or any way!

I've been on a video trip through dark matter, fixing and upgrading the Hubble and various to the Universe and .. Beyond.. the Final Frontier videos looking for it! keep getting sucked in... like a black hole...

and maybe perhaps...our lookings at the core of life...are another part of our being blown outward...into a field of light and clarity? we are all souls on a long and winding road...and we are getting closer to higher understanding and that field of light and clarity...every day

Wow! That is too groovy! I found a heart nebula for Valentine's Day! ️ http://www.justinngphoto.com/2015/02/14/heart-nebula-ic-1805-happy-valentines-day/

Kittay that is the perfect nebula for Valentines day! I love the photos from that photographer, he's really good! Nebulas are some of my favorites...they are so mysterious! This to me, is a really really beautiful nebula! I see someone painted it as well. It's the Swan Nebula...sometimes called the Omega...however the Swan seems more fitting for its beauty... http://imgsrc.hubblesite.org/hu/db/images/hs-2003-13-a-full_jpg.jpg And here's the painting, also very beautiful! http://images.fineartamerica.com/images-medium-large/hubble-swan-nebula-the-perfect-storm-lynda-mcdonald.jpg
