A Romantic View Of The Earth From The Moon. Today's APOD pic. I think the Moonians may have it a little better than us! http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap150906.html
Beautiful!!! Thanks so much for posting, Steve!

^ Always loved this pic of Jupiter and Ephesus and the beginning of a long and winding road for some of life's messengers of love. http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/image/0807/EphesusHadrianus_pan.jpg

^ that is a beautiful photo, as are all the APOD's. It's so clear, it makes you want to know the constellations in it! I don't know if anyone follows CDR Scott Kelly's photos from a year in space. Anyway, he's been photographing quite a few Red Auroras lately, which are very rare. The solar winds have been reaching our atmosphere and causing the red color in the auroras. Some nice photos in the article. Hope the sun settles back down though, wouldn't mind seeing a red aurora myself. http://earthsky.org/todays-image/this-weeks-bright-auroras?utm_source=EarthSky+News&utm_campaign=d3b7f51845-EarthSky_News&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_c643945d79-d3b7f51845-394417477 Almost forgot... http://earthsky.org/tonight/moon-joins-venus-in-the-predawndawn-sky-on-september-10?utm_source=EarthSky+News&utm_campaign=d3b7f51845-EarthSky_News&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_c643945d79-d3b7f51845-394417477 I know my friend Mike will get a good one of this, if it's clear!

Venus and Mars are alright tonight... And this morning Venus was bright! Real bright.... It was great to see it next to the sliver moon By perspective it appeared to be the largest Planet Venus that I ever have seen

Enjoy the New Moon this weekend everyone!

That spot is right in the center of the crater...either it's not naturally there or maybe is somehow a type of volcanic cone spewing ?? Whose previous volcanic action that caused some kind of subsistence forming the older crater. What do you think? It's a mystery alright!

At those extremely cold temperatures it could be a liquified gas of some sort experiencing some sort of geyser like activity.
