I have been having a hard time getting used to it. I have a DVD player yet no software. I click on a jpg & there is no software to view it. WTH? I suppose with time I will get what I need on this but I think I'll go back to my other one for awhile.
Hi oobu24! I take it that you're having problems with Windows 10?

Not problems...since it runs ok but it's just weird that when I click on a jpg it won't open. I need to do more digging around & figure out how to set it up.

Yesterday, I read so many HORROR stories about Windows 10, many critics are advising all of the people not to download Windows 10 seeing that there are many important issues that Microsoft needs to resolve in order for the operating system to perform more efficiently. I'm hoping that Microsoft will release a service pack between now and mid-June. I also read that Microsoft is getting worse with their "pushing Windows 10 on everyone" tactics. Now Microsoft has the technology to automatically download and upgrade Windows 10 on every qualified customer's computer without their consent. This means that while everyone's asleep and their computers are turned off, Microsoft still has the sneaky means of forcibly downloading and upgrading Windows 10 on every qualified Windows 7 and 8.1 computers. Why is Microsoft so anxious and pushy when it comes to shoving a free upgrade such as Windows 10 down every person's throat. If I didn't know better, I'd swear that Microsoft is up to something! What do you think oobu24? If anyone else wants to comment, please feel free.

I think MS is becoming big brother! They do track everything you do. I imagine it can be terrible with an upgrade. I did not do that. I bought a laptop with it pre-installed.

Yeah, they (Microsoft) will keep track on all of the people that don't need tracking but Microsoft can't keep track of hackers!! And when Microsoft does catch a hacker(s), Microsoft will reward the hacker by hiring him/her resulting in them making some serious money!!! No wonder there is so many hackers!!

I've been playing around a little with this new computer & I must have hit a weird combo of keys & my whole screen rotated. Very weird. But I found out how to get it back to normal. thank goodness.

Windows 10 is strange!!! And you wonder why Microsoft is being so pushy in forcing Windows 10 down our throats!!!

I started to do the deal where you can supposedly download it and install it later. Well, it did the DL, then started to install on its own, so I cancelled it!

That's good to know.

Now do you see what I mean? Microsoft is trying to do everything without your consent! I have heard numerous complaints about Microsoft downloading and installing Windows 10 in everyone's computer without the owners consent! I think that is wrong! Why is Microsoft trying to force Windows 10 on everyone? Something's not right. I hope all works out well for you Nancy R, take care.

Funny video about that Windows 10 pop up screen. http://www.neowin.net/news/neobytes--meteorologist-gets-prompted-to-upgrade-to-windows-10-on-live-tv

It's okay, although I keep getting pop-up Windows asking me if I want to download it now or later!! Jeeze! I just ignore it.

Bringing back this thread and polishing up the old question and making it look like new. Those who are using Windows 10: Do you Like it? Or dislike it and want to go back to a previous Window? * I need to do something to my computer - Put Windows 10 on it since it is offered - or possibly redo Windows 7 (Or keep "cleaning" it up from a hit of some kind). Thanks in advance

How's it going The_Fool? I hope all is well with you. I should have an answer for everyone during the last week of July whether to download Windows 10 or not. I downloaded Windows 10 last year and was not happy with it so I went back to Windows 7. I'm hoping that Microsoft fixed the updates as well as the back door problem that allowed hackers to gain access to the computer owner's personal information. I'm still doing research as we speak so please bare with me. Talk to you soon.

My computer was messed up with so many glitches and hits to it - that I knew I didn't want to do an install over it and risk the same register keys garbage - I had someone help with saving my files (However some got attached to other things - that I will have to sort out). So now I have Windows 10. Some parts are similar or adaptable - I just have to get used to different ways of finding some things - or just today I saved something and had to search for it - because it went to an unexpected area ... it wasn't extremely difficult - it is just me not knowing this time and having to search and find the obvious to a regular user of this version.

Please let me know how Windows 10 works for you in the next few days, I would deeply appreciate it. Thanks The_Fool.

On multiple occasions over the course of the last year, I had declined the free Windows 10 upgrade. Within the last month, all three of my children have informed me that their laptops had been upgraded without user consent. I indicated that they must have somehow inadvertently allowed permission for the upgrade. I have not been able to spend much time online over the last week. To my surprise, during brief sessions, I had twice received pop-up notifications that my Windows 10 upgrade download would begin within seconds. Both times I was able to prevent the potential download. This past Saturday morning, I briefly checked my emails and then left to run an errand. Upon my return, I found that the Windows 10 upgrade had been downloaded/installed without my permission. My children were correct, this upgrade was being installed without user consent. I did not know such was possible! ops: Thus far, I am experiencing no issues, but not happy that the installation was performed without my consent. Hope the transition goes well for everyone! : : :

Yes, Microsoft is getting a ton of backlash (as they should) on this auto install. We've actually been telling our clients not to install or how to reverse the install since Windows 10 isn't very good.
