Windows 10

I don't see any reason to change my computer to Windows 10, but then I was always like that for all the other new versions. As long as the computer is working, I'm happy.
I now go by the same theory as you, "if its working right, don't mess with it!" Take care.

Still getting popup messages that "your time to upgrade to Windows 10 is running out." I click them off & laugh.

That'll probably be happening for a year. After a year, you'll have to purchase Windows 10.

I have survived the 10 upgrade ... ... so far

Now Windows 10 is giving my DH printer problems. It never ends.

I'm so sorry to hear about your issues, there's a lot of horror stories being told on the internet in reference to Windows 10. I had Windows 10 ONCE, I went back to Windows 7!!! I'll wait to see if Microsoft comes out with a service pack and fixes all of the flaws in Windows 10. Lets wait and see what happens. I hope all turns out well for you, take care.

I keep getting pop-up saying my free download of Windows 10 is about to expire. I ignore it & x out.

What did you mean that you had to update all your pics & music? And did anyone buy a new computer with 10 already on it? I may be getting a new laptop & most of what's out there has 10 installed.

Yes...that's why I wouldn't upgrade myself but this laptop is starting to fall apart...the battery is no good...no more charge...dvd drive broken...drivers needed too. So I wondered about a new computer with 10 already on it. What do you have Fool? (oh & your avatar reminds me I need to change mine!)

I am still using Windows 7 and have that update thing for 10 just sitting there. At work I am using everything from Windows (95 or 97 on old stuff) - mostly Windows 7 there .... so I keep my home computer the same to be similar if I do stuff at home .... The "office" program is very updated .... they are on a plan that allowed them to offer it to all of us who work there for a very small price .... that stays well updated and I am fine with that. I know when Microsoft stops supporting early stuff and force people to do something ..... then I will react. I even know how to do downloads, drivers etc..... I just don't feel like going through the trouble or frustration when something needs customer support .... not right now if I can avoid it

^ yes, that's nice if you are in a workplace & they offer help like that. I think I need a geek squad person to come over. Too many questions here. lol. I have Windows 7 mostly too...I think one of the "work" ones may be 95. As long as what you're running (software wise) will work then it's ok with me.

No more issues with Win 10.
-
I'm still very leery of getting it. It was hard enough for me to get used to Windows 8! (And what happened to Windows 9? Did they just skip it?) #9, #9, #9!

I wouldn't! When you get a new one, it will have the latest (like Windows 12 or something!) I use my laptops so much, I've never had one last 5 years!

Yeah, that's why I'm looking at new ones rather than upgrading my old ones... that would probably be a disaster.

Windows 10 FINALLY started working properly on my hubby's work pc. I'm not even entertaining the thought of upgrading. By the time I'm ready for a new pc, there'll be yet another new version of Windows to contend with. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
