veggieburgher:
I'm keeping track of Beatles songs played during spring training. The Red Sox just played "Day Tripper" and last week the D-backs played "It Don't Come Easy" following a loss.
They play Beatles songs at Yankee games alot.....one time Paul was there and started rocking to his own song
-
Was it "I Saw Her Standing There"? I think I've heard that.

I couldn't remember the song but yes, that was it. I was at the game.....nowhere near Paul but they showed it on the screen.
-
"Rock 'n' Roll Music" just now at Indians game in Goodyear.
-
Another played often is Twist and Shout....
-
It may be warmer on the hills today compared to some opening days in April
-
So true.....watch alot of the games getting snowed out in April......
They were saying on the Yankee/Boston game last night that it was just 5 degrees cooler at Yankee Stadium than down in Florida.

It's crazy how warm it is now. I'm in the mood for some baseball what with all of this nice weather.

Yeah, I would like to think it will continue but the extennded forecast looks like back to normal by opening day with a high of 41 for Boston on Mar. 29.
No big rains at least.

That's something, at least. I'll have to enjoy this beautiful weekend then before the warm weather goes away.

I can't lie, he's a class act, so it's nice to see him rejoining Jeter and Rivera. They're three players who are great for the game.
I agree.....too bad A-Rod won't disappear...

And we agree again.
I was actually sad when Torre was run out of town, and when Posada retired. I love Red Sox/Yankees series when if we lose, I can at least respect the other team. Also sad that Varitek and Wakefield retired from the Sox.

Even though the are rivals....I think both Yankee fans and Red Sox fans respect each other and their knowledge of the game. At one Yankee/Red Sox game I went to, there were people sitting next to us that came down from Boston. We started talking and they said at first they were nervous to come into Yankee Land but that everyone was really nice to them......I had the same experience at Fenway.

Very true--there's good-natured joking that goes on, but if you're not obnoxious, the fans of both teams can get along quite nicely.
And I know that there's no one I want the Sox to face more in the post season than the Yankees.

You should see the northsiders (cubs) vs the southsiders (wht sox) here in Chicago! OMG! Another reason for staying home & watching it on TV.
I hear ya.....sounds like the Yankee...Met situation

I didn't realize the Chicago rivalry was so intense. I had heard that the White Sox felt like a second-class team because typically the Cubs get all of the attention, but I guess it makes sense to have in-state rivalries.
