Someone should TASE the dad. Apparently the son called home and told him he was going to do that and the dad didn't talk him out of it???????
-
I still can't believe they tased him - I agree that he should've been arrested find the next 24 hours of his life to be not quite what he would like...but tasing was excessive force in my opinion. I wonder what would come of the situation if the kid had gone into cardiac arrest and died.

Another fan ran onto the Phillies field during tonight's game at the top of the 9th! The activity on the field was not shown on TV, they cut away to replays.

The guy probably knew he was safe from being tasered while the other incident is being investigated...or maybe he was hoping to get tased and earn himself a nice lawsuit.

I suppose we'll find out what took place on the field tomorrow!

http://detroit.tigers.mlb.com/det/history/harwell/det_history_feature_harwell.jsp http://freep.com I come here with sad news The Passing of Ernie Harwell. Ernie was the Voice of the Detroit Tigers for years and years. I loved listening to Ernie calling play-by-play. He painted a picture of the game as he announced it ... he told stories of the game threaded in while the game was going on. He was really Loved by the fans in Detroit. Many fans here have so many good things to say about Ernie - good memories, good feelings, love, warmth and care. Everyone whoever came in contact with him have good things to say about him -- one of those great special human beings that touch so many in one way or another. I was listening to Ernie Harwell growing up - the way I listened to the Beatles. I had a lot of care - good feeling - glad to have been able to listen to Ernie Harwell - stories and tributes are going on - on the radio - he had a soothing voice - worth listening to - whether the Tigers were in first or last place - it was great to listen to him. Thank you Ernie Harwell. God has a Great Announcer on his team now. Peace.

Using a taser seems a bit drastic...do they not security to stop them or grab them

Sad news, chuffed...a great loss for the Tigers and their fans. The Phillies lost longtime legendary broadcaster Harry Kalas in 2009. It was tough for fans getting through last season without him. This will be a difficult season for the Tigers and their fans without Ernie.

The Phillies seem to be on top of their game. We're going to see the Iron Pigs in August. Uh Oh! We had to get tix for Aug due to being rained out in April. I hope the Iron Pigs Aug tix don't interefere with Paul performing in Philly in Aug.!

Another no no pitched today (this time by Oakland's Dallas Braden...I wonder how A-Rod feels about that after their near altercation earlier this season If you recall, after A-Rod was called out on the bases, he ran on the mound during his return to the dugout and Braden took offense to that. Afterward, A-Rod's comments was something along the lines of 'maybe when he does something in his career, I'll pay attention to something he says'

I'm not into sports, but I'll keep the men in our house company & sit on the sofa & read a book while they're watching the Phillies games.
