How Does Your Garden Grow?
-
The last storm wiped out my red petunias in my ladybug boots planter. Need to get more.
-
So many plants died when I was on vacation
going to have a drip system put in. Got some really pretty rose bushes!
-
Just got giant red petunias & giant yellow marigolds. Everything is doing great since it's been raining for a couple of days, esp the darned weeds.
-
First ripe red tomatoes from our garden for dinner last night! MMMMMMM! Fantastic!
-
The new garden is starting to take a hold. Mulch is wonderful!
-
I think my rose bush is done after 8 years.
-
With all the rain we've been having, the weeds are doing great.

Bought a Stargazer lily today...It's about to bloom...heavenly scent...

Grass grew a foot over the side of the walkway -had to dig it out.
-
When I leave my soaker hose on, I know it's soaked through when the water starts running down the walk, however, I noticed the birds bathing in it, so I've been letting them get a bath before I turn it off. They're so cute splashing around
No more bird baths in the stores
-
No happy medium - either pours for days or wicked hot with no relief. Watered veggies & flower beds early this morning.
-
Wondering which birdbath to get?
-
Too hot & humid to weed - weeds keep growin
-
Trimmed back some bush-like trees on the edge of the property this weekend.
-
My soaker hose blew out a hole in it, going to use less pressure. My first tomato is getting really red! The peppers are looking good too! Stargazer is in bloom, just waiting for the other lilies to bloom
-
^ I bought tomato plants with buds on them already so I've been getting tomatoes here & there. They are sooo good! We had to fence the garden off because the dog has gotten into the habit of walking through it.
-
My dog Rex used to love munch on garden plants and vegetable plants...he even sampled a cactus once
There's nothing like fresh veggies!
-
^ Funny you mentioned cactus. We have ours fenced off because we were afraid he'd find them & eat them. So far we have 3 areas blocked off...tomato area, berry tree (dropping bunches of berries), cactus. He has outgrown the pine cones...or he only liked them when they were green. Doesn't care for the dried out ones. lol
-
Glad to hear you have the cactus blocked off, you would think the stickers would deter them, but now I know differently.
I'm amazed it passed and TG he didn't need a surgical removal. The berries can be messy too! Rex ate sticks and stones, but not pinecones that I'm aware of!! We had to be careful when choosing a stick for fetch games. It's amazing what dogs will eat!

Brown Eyed Susans are really spreading in garden this year
