I have some experience with interpreting heavy accents. I can't guarantee accuracy, especially the Pitt/Jolie part, but it makes sense.

After I wrote the above, I listened to the song with the lyrics you provided. It was a lot easier to understand. I have a theory, did he pronounce the English words (lyrics) as if they were French words? Anyway, thanks again!

I'm pretty sure the singer is Spanish. I would have preferred French. It would be easier to understand.
