Celebrating a golden jubilee Kuwait style: Gulf state spends £10million to put on the biggest firework display of all time By Phil Vinter 11 November 2012 For the paltry sum of just £10million Kuwait earned a place in the Guinness Book of Records last night as it celebrated the golden jubilee anniversary of its constitution in style by laying on the biggest fireworks display of all time. A dazzling array of colours illuminated the skies above the country's capital of Kuwait City as a staggering 77,282 fireworks were launched over the period of an hour. please see entire article at link for all the pics - a world record!!! I've got nothing to say but, "Wow" - especially the green firework displays ... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2231223/Celebrating-golden-jubilee-Kuwait-style-Gulf-state-spends-10million-biggest-firework-display-time.html

I can't believe that someone asked me what policies by Obama are unGodly? The whole Democratic party is unGodly, remember they are the ones that BOOED God, what else do you need to know! Obama a christian, yeah right that's why he wears a ring that says Allah is the only true God, yeah that sure seems christian! Pull your head out people, the man has proven himself to be a major hypocrite! At least Romney stands by his beliefs, not saying one thing this week and then saying something totally different the next! How can you be evolving as Obama said, you either believe God or you don't. Well now we know he doesn't, he just didn't have the backbone to come right out and say it! I pray for America!!
-
left hand man:
May God have mercy on us, because if you take him out of it, what do you have left? A falling America that forces and passes unGodly laws and policies that try to make wrong right! There's a reckoning coming, and we'll have to explain to our children how we messed up this country for them! We haven't learned a thing from all the empires that have fallen thruout history, how totally blind and stupid America has become! Man turning his back and denying truth is nothing new, and the consequences won't be anything new either! This country is in real trouble!
I have a different take ... I wish to hear every person & give them a chance. In John Lennon's words, "Give Peace (within this forum especially) A Chance". Remember John's assasin didn't give him a chance. And yet John's song lives on, "Give Peace A Chance". Ok - a singer, songwriter in the 1960's named Laura Nyro wrote/sang, "I can swear there ain't no heaven but I pray there ain't no hell. Swear there ain't no heaven and I pray there ain't no hell." The song was later recorded by Peter, Paul, & Mary. Finally the song was recorded by Blood, Sweat & Tears and hit #2 on the charts. The words of that song show that a lot of people struggle with the idea of retribution in the hereafter. And not all of them were religious in the slight. So if you make fun of "Left hand man", you are also making fun of all the other artists above. Give Peace A Chance!

Some important factoids from this election There have been only 4 Presidents in the past century who have been elected twice with the majority of the popular vote they include: FDR(Roosevelt), Eisenhower, Reagan and now Obama! This is of great importance because it takes 2 terms to really cement a legacy. All the presidents above have had a lasting legacy and they now include Obama. FDR ...always considered one of the top 3 Presidents in US history due to his legislative and international success. He is author of the New Deal which includes social security and his legacy is still strong today. Guided us though and out of WWII http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historical_rankings_of_United_States_Presidents Eisenhower...he continued New Deal policies, expanded social security and built the interstate highway system...whose spending for infrastructure strengthened his economy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwight_D._Eisenhower Reagan...his major achievement was initiating supply side economics (Reaganomics) and has been credited as being the father of modern conservatism. The policies of Reaganomics primarily deregulation of business and low/no taxation for the wealthy (trickle down economics) has been discredited in modern times as creating vast inequality, increasing deficits and a rogue banking system. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwight_D._Eisenhower Obama...so far, created national Health Care system (Obamacare) furthered civil rights for gay citizens. Strengthened equality for women in workplace, strengthened national security etc. For Obama's second term i think we will see more added to his legacy including immigration reform, energy reform and much more! We're living in extraordinary times with this president

I keep on saying than the Dems and the Reps agree on most economic stuff. Not on political stuff, just like happens here. They may disagree on gay marriage, abortion, wars, etc. but not on economy. Cause they're united by the Big Corporations, they have that in common... and Big Corporations don't care about gay marriage, abortion or things like that, I mean civil rights cause business or profits are not much related to it.... but they care about economy the way they care. Does gay marriage have some effect on the big banks, the oil companies, Wal-mart, the software companies, the car companies...? Pretty much NO. But a law over the environment, for instance will matter to oil companies. A law over the internet to the software ones. A law about the economy to the banks, so on. That's where the corporations/Wall street rules. They openly say they "support both parties". In our time is corporations who have the power (because we give them so), except for things they just don't care about, those things they can't sell or buy. But corporations are nothing but people, they're not some kind of monsters. Kind of ordinary people that happen to have more possessions that the average person whatever the cause. Only is not that easy, a corporation is legally a person, and it has even more rights than a normal person (Limited liability, easier access to credit, less "punishability", just compare the number of people in jails with the number of corporation closed by the government...). It doesn't have a conscience or morals (the ones ruling it can have it but not the corporation itself but it is a person anyway) but they have rights and power. Yet it has more power than the people with conscience and morals, etc. We people are just second class citizens. Corporations are the first class and we are subordinates. Even Bill Gates is a subordinate.
This is why American elections are dominated by distractions. When people speak more about binders of women and birth certificates, they speak less about how much control those corporations have.
yes, and about what you say in your previous post, there are corporations that make money from war, so Dems and Reps agree about that too.

Reagan's achievement was to destroy Roosevelt's and others achievements... It's not that Roosevelt was some kind of genius or luminaire... they just tried to get out of the Great Depression. And, by trial and error, they found a solution in the New Deal. Well, anyway genius sometimes find things by trial and error... but it's not like he knew he had to do that. I think we'll see something similar, out of trial and error, it's already happening in Europe. Like "okey, we can't do with Spain the same old thing, we must try something else, whatever it is".

All the big corporations are one and the same. They all get profits from one another, That's why any big corporation it's "too big too fall", cause it will cause less profits for all the rest. It's a peculiar thing to discover, it's on the information of the shareholders of the corporations, info by Yahoo... Corporation. It's kind of complicated but Blackrock, Vanguard etc are owners and clients of the big corporations. They are owned by and they own them. An association of the corporations really. Or the corporation of the corporations. Mutual funds, that's how they're called. Leading mutual funds http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mutual_fund#Leading_complexes And the top mutual funds are also associated, owned by and owning one another, again it's Yahoo information, Yahoo is owned by those funds!, so it's their information. Facebook, for instance, is now majorly owned by THE CORPORATION, is not independent anymore. Twitter still is, cause THE CORPORATION owns just a "small part". Google, Microsoft, Apple and all that are property of... yes... THE CORPORATION (like the major record companies but that's another topic...)

Well, I'm not talking about how things should be, like if I had the answer or wanted things to be just like I wanted it the most. I'm just talking about how things really are. It's quite the oppossite, the corporations take control of the government and everybody knows it. And I think THE CORPORATION is already TOO BIG to own the government too. Again THE CORPORATION is no-one really, is just shows how we are, how we wants things to be, we create that and we give it the power cause we think it is useful thing, a good structure... "The market will fix everything" and all that... But watch out cause it's a thing that has ZERO conscience. Zero is zero, not traditional or liberal, modern or anything. It's Zero, so it pretty much destroys many things we need. Soros elaborates a lot about that. Yes, and ain't it Soros...? No, he's a man, Buffett, Soros and all that are people, they have their morals and their sense of right or wrong whatever it is. THE CORPORATION has not sense or right of wrong, it can't be put into jails, it's hardly punished for crimes, etc. It's based on Irresponsability, or "limited responsability" whether if it's financial, criminal, or anything. A way to allow things that we kind of naturally find we shouldn't allow in people. And we don't. But we do in an indirect way...

Exactly right. Citizens United gave corporations people status but did not make them accountable of any of their actions so yes, better than people. It's the law that was responsible for the obscene amounts of money given by corporations to candidates. And although people have to account for the amount of money they give, corporations can give unlimited donations, anonymously no restrains at all. A miracle of this election is that with all the money the anonymous donors threw at the Democrats...the Democrats prevailed. Speaking truth to power mittens never revealed his complete tax returns and he never revealed the names of his bundlers who raised money for him.

Reagan's achievement was to destroy Roosevelt's and others achievements...
Correct, but his success has been halted. Obama's reelection has seen to that. Taxes will be raised on the rich and the banking industry is in for tight regulations...see the election of Elizabeth Warren to the senate. She campaigned for a strong hand on banking and corporations and she will probably be on the senate banking committee...the times they are achanging The law Citizens United passed by the conservative Supreme Court gave corporations people status
mittens: corporations are people my friend Another reason Obama's reelection will change things for the better. He will have the opportunity to appoint more liberal judges to the bench to create a liberal majority...this is one of the most important things he will do. Citizens United must go down.yes, that's what I mean, corporation have people status... actually the have "better than people" status. In politics... I don't trust in "he/she will", unless it is in writing, signed, etc....
It looks like they were Corporations United not Citizen United... . That's it, better than people. Or, people worse than corporations. This has happened through history but it was some kind of people vs some kind of people. Like Non-slaves vs slaves in slavism (slaves didn't have "people status"), or the Lord and the Vassal in feudalism (vassals didn't have the same rights as lords, or lived up to the same laws). Now it's The Corporation vs the people. It's that easy. Not the men on corporations (or the holders) vs the people. But the corporations vs the people.

My point is a complicated, or at least is complicated to make me think I haven't still explained it after 5 posts. There's lots of interview to the most famous business men "company owners" (they're not, they own just a small %) with similar feelings and views, I like this one cause it's an movie-interview. It's Michael Moore, I know some don't like it, but who else is going to do an interview like this one? Michael Moore and Phil Knight, CEO and Founder of Nike Corporation. About the factories in Indonesia, I don't mean if that is right or wrong. I mean the boss of the company is clueless about it and I believe it! Pretty much that is what happens, people just see numbers and don't know what's going on really, you can be the boss of it all and not knowing major details of what's happening on your factory, so who's responsible for that then? In the end no-one is, not even the corporation . 1.58 "I've never been to Indonesia" Phil Knight

Or put it another way, if one person or some people would have caused the oil on the Mexico Gulf in 2010 they would have been put in jails, maybe for life if for USA laws. As it was not people really but people acting with the "advantage" on being a Corporation, no-one went to jails. Of course the corporation was not "put into jails" or forced to close.
