"It's the economy stupid", and those words of former President Clinton still thunder & shake! And it's the economy the current President wants to ignore or at least wants to sidetrack our attention from. Mr. Fix It didn't, fix it. It should have been his first priority and it really was not. He should be judged accordingly. And didn't he say if it (the economy) wasn't better in 4 years that he should not be re-elected???!!! The majority of America is in drought. The little bit of rain we had will not be enough to save billions of dollars worth of crops. Likewise we have had a severe drought in Presidential leadership. We need change, and change now
You do realize that the drought is caused by climate change..right : Really do you think the rethugs & tricky mitt are up to doing something about that : They don't believe it it
It was an analogy - but maybe only other readers will agree. I repeat, " ... we have had a severe drought in Presidential leadership. We need change, and change now!" And following your scientific brilliance I suppose the droughts in the 1930's and 1950's were also due to climate change? But rather than be side tracked - political change of leadership in Washington, DC is what we now need Since you like to insult by name anyone who disagres with you - shall we call Barack Obama, B.O.???? His leadership and/or sleezership does stink ... Sally, I'm only following your lead ...
So you deny climate change...come on put yourself out 'there'

Obama?s Top 50 Accomplishments Here are the first ten (they left out "Got Paul McCartney To Play The White House" -- oh well) : [i**"1. Passed Health Care Reform****:** After five presidents over a century failed to create universal health insurance, signed the Affordable Care Act (2010). It will cover 32 million uninsured Americans beginning in 2014 and mandates a suite of experimental measures to cut health care cost growth, the number one cause of America?s long-term fiscal problems. 2. Passed the Stimulus: Signed $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act in 2009 to spur economic growth amid greatest recession since the Great Depression. Weeks after stimulus went into effect, unemployment claims began to subside. Twelve months later, the private sector began producing more jobs than it was losing, and it has continued to do so for twenty-three straight months, creating a total of nearly 3.7 million new private-sector jobs. 3. Passed Wall Street Reform: Signed the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (2010) to re-regulate the financial sector after its practices caused the Great Recession. The new law tightens capital requirements on large banks and other financial institutions, requires derivatives to be sold on clearinghouses and exchanges, mandates that large banks provide ?living wills? to avoid chaotic bankruptcies, limits their ability to trade with customers? money for their own profit, and creates the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (now headed by Richard Cordray) to crack down on abusive lending products and companies. 4. Ended the War in Iraq: Ordered all U.S. military forces out of the country. Last troops left on December 18, 2011. 5. Began Drawdown of War in Afghanistan: From a peak of 101,000 troops in June 2011, U.S. forces are now down to 91,000, with 23,000 slated to leave by the end of summer 2012. According to Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, the combat mission there will be over by next year. 6. Eliminated Osama bin laden: In 2011, ordered special forces raid of secret compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, in which the terrorist leader was killed and a trove of al-Qaeda documents was discovered. 7. Turned Around U.S. Auto Industry: In 2009, injected $62 billion in federal money (on top of $13.4 billion in loans from the Bush administration) into ailing GM and Chrysler in return for equity stakes and agreements for massive restructuring. Since bottoming out in 2009, the auto industry has added more than 100,000 jobs. In 2011, the Big Three automakers all gained market share for the first time in two decades. The government expects to lose $16 billion of its investment, less if the price of the GM stock it still owns increases. 8. Recapitalized Banks: In the midst of financial crisis, approved controversial Treasury Department plan to lure private capital into the country?s largest banks via ?stress tests? of their balance sheets and a public-private fund to buy their ?toxic? assets. Got banks back on their feet at essentially zero cost to the government. 9. Repealed ?Don?t Ask, Don?t Tell?: Ended 1990s-era restriction and formalized new policy allowing gays and lesbians to serve openly in the military for the first time. 10. Toppled Moammar Gaddafi: In March 2011, joined a coalition of European and Arab governments in military action, including air power and naval blockade, against Gaddafi regime to defend Libyan civilians and support rebel troops. Gaddafi?s forty-two-year rule ended when the dictator was overthrown and killed by rebels on October 20, 2011. No American lives were lost." http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/magazine/march_april_2012/features/obamas_top_50_accomplishments035755.php/

I love talking about Obama's accomplishments and policies anyone who cares about the US, the world and themselves for that matter should vote for Obama. I was trying to get you to talk about policies...you guys know nothing about policies that's why you vote against your own and your countries interests. The worse sort of treason. The have the perfect candidate in mittens. He doesn't know what he believes either And his business practices have been to bet against his own country.

The polls say otherwise. Keep in mind that those who are disappointed in Obama include the staunchest liberals, who will still vote for the man, depsite the fact that he's more moderate than they are.

Well, I'll be darned! Democrats are FINALLY growing a pair! Democrats Propose Plan to Sidestep Anti-Tax Pledge: "WASHINGTON ? Senate Democrats ? holding firm against extending tax cuts for the rich ? are proposing a novel way to circumvent the Republican pledge not to vote for any tax increase: Allow all the tax cuts to expire Jan. 1, then vote on a tax cut for the middle class shortly thereafter. "The proposal illustrates the lengths lawmakers are going to in an effort to include new federal revenues in a fix for the ?fiscal cliff,? the reckoning in January that would come when all Bush-era tax cuts expire and automatic spending cuts to military and domestic programs kick in." http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/18/us/politics/senate-democrats-propose-letting-all-tax-cuts-expire.html?pagewanted=all

Poll: Most say Romney should release additional tax returns: "WASHINGTON ? A majority of Americans, including almost a third of Republicans, say GOP presidential contender Mitt Romney should release more tax returns than the two years he has promised to disclose, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll finds. "The issue is one Democrats have been hammering, including an open letter to Romney signed by almost two dozen mayors released Thursday that noted controversial disclosures in the 2010 return he already has released and demanded: "What else are you trying to hide?" Those surveyed are divided on whether the likely Republican nominee is trying to hide anything. While 42% predict the release of additional returns would not reveal anything politically harmful, 44% believe it would include damaging information ? including 15% who say they believe the revelations would be so serious that they would "show he is unfit to be president." http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/story/2012-07-19/romney-gallup-poll-tax-returns/56333412/1?csp=34news

one of these days we're going to discuss who are sexier, conservatives or liberals? Ok... you want something? Wall Street reform, what Wall Street reform? Wall Street rules the USA and half of the world, and not very well... Wall Street reforming itself if ever. The problem on USA and world's economy are the same kind than in 2008 but worse, close to collapsing. The USA endebtment is also the biggest ever. The 99%, Occuppy Wall Street, the price of inequality, etc. USA is right now, the developed country with more increasing inequality (and also already with more inequality). "The problem" is far from being fixed, is increasing. http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/2012/05/joseph-stiglitz-the-price-on-inequality (I'm no traditionalist, I don't even keep the liberals traditions )
