Hi everyone! Remember me? I was the one everyone said was on the wrong side of history ten years ago. Good times! So hey, did you hear about Russia wanting to invade another country for dubious reasons and everyone thinks that's a really bad thing? Wow, funny how times change. Of course, America is right to caution Russia against being so foolhardy btu wait, why is everyone laughing? Would any of those great chess players from the old days like to give me another lecture on how Bush played the long game? Just for old times' sake? Didn't think so.
Are You an Aboriginal Australian?

Of course, Russia has absolutely groundless reasons to be concerned about what's going on in the closest and biggest neighbour of it with the largest ethnic Russian minority abroad (aprox. 20 mln. people). And neonazis in the government? Well, Russia mustn't deny the obvious fact that the last time it had an encounter with the nazis it was the best moments in its history. And its populace has such a short memory anyway, so what's all the fuss indeed? I for one think that Russia also should step away from the earnest Ukrainian wish of exchanging what's left from its economy to the friendly pat on the shoulder and verbal recognition of its "Europeanness", whatever it means. The U.S. has Installed a Neo-Nazi Government in Ukraine http://www.globalresearch.ca/the-u-s-has-installed-a-neo-nazi-government-in-ukraine/5371554

Okay, you know what? I actually take it back. The crazies of 12 years ago were better.

What I will never understand about Americans is how much they abhor their elected leaders yet keep electing them.

I was wondering WHY on earth does a man or a woman who will NEVER have a child need to pay for maternity insurance? The Affordable Care Act is forcing me to pay for other people to populate the world? What a bunch of carrots!
It's called pooling the risk. I'll never give birth, and you'll never get prostate cancer - but we're both covered by each other for every eventuality. So that all human life is valuable, and no bigotry or poverty or prejudice can preclude us from living. It's also much more economical - the British NHS costs a fraction of privatised US healthcare, with much better outcomes.

Did you read your post that I responded to? Are you a descendant of the original australian people, or are you a descendant of the 1800's european invaders? Weren't you talking about countries invading other countries?

Well firstly, the invaders came in the 1700s, not the 1800s so get your facts straight before getting all sanctimonious with me. I note that your profile offers no information about your location or heritage. That's your prerogative but I bet that if you did, I could suggest a similar hypocrisy to that which you are implying but don't have the courage to come out and say. I could also tell you what I know of my ancestors and how they lived in harmony with the indigenous people of the area but that, like my ethnicity is none of your business and indeed has nothing to do with the point I was making so I will ask again: What's it to you?

People have been sailing the world's oceans and landing in australia for far longer than the 1700's... You attack American and Russian ethnicity as a presumably docile Australian...and you expect not to get a response? What's it to you what Americans and Russians do? Act responsibly to your own life situation first. Are You an Aboriginal Australian?
-
Are you talking about William Dampier? I don't really understand why you're quoting my first post. Perhaps you wanted to try again. There is nothing to presume about what I think about Australia's history. If you are such a presumptuous person, then I think it says more about you. I certainly expected a response, I was just hoping for an intelligent one. If you care to quote examples of me not acting responsibly, then do so and I will speak to them. It's fairly obvious that I have already answered your question but since you ask it again, I will ask you again: What's it to you?
-
Never mind.

Don't recall your prediction, but -- as a rule -- I don't put anything past any government.

Governments come in 5 basic types... a loose minded government...a liberal government...A Democratic Government...a republican government...and an uptight government How do you govern yourself?

F. All of the above.

G. The 7th premise.

The average person in your country has 2 times as much more money to spend than the average person in the u.s....thanks to your oil fields...if they dried up tomorrow...what would your government be like?...would the women be as free as they are in the west?
Our government invests heavily in education and science and technology. The state pays for our education from kindergarten as far up as one is inclined to go. They paid for every aspect of my post-graduate studies in Paris. We have political leaders who are not afraid of science and who actively encourage scientific advancement. We are the "greenest" nation in the Gulf and one of our environmental education centres supposedly has the largest aquarium in the Middle East. Everyone is well aware that oil is finite and steps have been underway for many years to adjust our economic structure.
