The 2012 and beyond Political Thread - Part 2

I'm lovin' ' this battle of wits.

Speaking of bias.... If You Were An Iraq War Critic, You're Probably Not Being Asked To Go On TV

The American media are often accused of a liberal bias. All American news programs reinforce the status quo. There is nothing liberal in that. Their purpose is to advertise commercial goods and services controlled by entrenched corporations. Both Fox and MSNBC tell the same five stories and ignore almost everything that is happening in the world because most of the world?s most interesting news will not sell toasters and auto insurance. The perception of any liberal or conservative slant from either outlet is based on a very narrow world view.

As for myself - I don't depend on tv news alone and I don't watch Fox News alone. I favor reading the news rather than having the news read or told to me. Greta Van Susteren is one tough lady (n0t for "all the news"). What about phony promises, 'transparent' Obama? http://www.foxnews.com/on-air/on-the-record/index.html Leadership matters, Mr. President - Where are you? http://www.foxnews.com/on-air/on-the-record/index.html#/v/3693504932001

And sadly, those who harbor polarized political views, have no idea what you're talking about.

I believe that I have a much better idea about some specifics she may be talking about (since you offered none). News agencies typically concern themselves with home news. The U.S. is in the position of affecting others abroad positively or negatively. The typical absence of the reporting of this may be what concerns her.

Great -- plenty more time to add more private-sector jobs to the already 52 consecutive months of job-growth on his watch.

What did that guy in your video say about "deserving" his food stamps because he was unemployed, audi?
-
Very little made sense in that video.

The top stories on CNN International this week: Gaza Ebola Ukraine Gaza Plane crashes Indonesia elections Gaza A small hurricane near Hawaii Gaza Several large typhoons in the South Pacific Hot car death mom (I have no idea what this is) Gaza Isis Why is the last one not the first, and why is Gaza the most important piece of land in the world?
-
ISIS is becoming very important. The Gaza Strip ordeal reminds me of..."The Hatfields and McCoys".

Very sad indeed.

Where's the Peace and Love? The ISIS is horrible that people can behave like this. Was thinking of moving to an island in the middle of the Pacific, until it became affected by radioactivity from an ill placed nuclear reactor. Should have known better, money was bigger than care for human lives. When looked back on these times, I wonder if they will discover a branch of humans that branched off and became subhuman... because this is not humane to me. Why can't the news be filled with all of the good things and good people in this world, there are more of those people than evil. Yet promoting all the evil seems to be causing people think that they need to hit before they get hit themselves. We have too many negative role models and reality shows that glorify negative and mean behavior towards others. It makes me want to move, somewhere near like minded peaceful people. Peaceful people unite and speak up!!
