Say what you will about Paul Ryan ... but consider this ... Paul Ryan Takes Apart Obamacare in 6 Minutes
And he does so without a teleprompter And I seem to recollect that Democrats proudly asked in 2008, "Who would you rather have as President Sara Palin or Joe Biden?" I now ask the same question - who would you rather have as President: Joe Biden or Paul Ryan :The video cuts off just as the President was about to give his rebuttal. And, by the way, I don't believe that Republicans want to "save Medicare." It is my belief that they want to systemically obliterate it. They never wanted it in the first place. I am hopeful that in my lifetime, the U.S. will have universal healthcare -- just like every other advanced nation.
O for pete's sake ... everything is not about Obama ... do you have any idea how many hundreds of times the press and/or the Whitehouse has cut off others over the past 4 years ???!!! It's about time for the reverse to occur
I'd be delighted if you could cite at least one instance of these hundreds of occurrences. But since you and I both know that it's hyperbole, I'll skip to asking what's wrong with wondering what happened to President Obama's rebuttal when the topic at hand is "Obamacare"? I'll hang up and listen.
Simple, you can post Obama's views it's not up to me. No, the topic is not anything you want ... The topic is the Presidential Campaign And the positive coverage of Obama/Biden by the press in general has been uneven to the point of sickening (barf) ... This is a political forum And the Obama Economy is in the toilet ...
-
Amazing: The people who made the goddamned mess are yelling at The President for not mopping it up fast enough. Reminder: Twenty-eight consecutive months of private-sector job-growth. The national unemployment rate would be under 6% if Republican governors weren't laying off police officers, fire-fighters and teachers left and right. You conservatives have selective memories. And you are the party of bigotry, suppression and hypocrisy.

And how exactly does this post respond to my question of why audi can't bring up President Obama because "everything is not about Obama," even though the discussion at hand was "Obamacare"? That's like refusing to allow the mention of Walt Disney in a discussion about Mickey Mouse. It's not your job to post Obama's views, but since you said there are hundreds of instances of others being cut off in the past four years, I figured you should at least be able to give me one. Also, if the "positive coverage of Obama/Biden by the press in general" has been uneven, by definition that means that much of the coverage has been negative. Was that a misspeak or a subconscious admission of how silly and baseless the liberal-media reflex is by conservatives?

In the beginning, Obama said, "We are five days away from fundamentally transforming America". I say that's what he's been doing much to the dislike of approximately 50% of Americans. It hasn't been "cleaning up a leftover mess". Instead, he's been on (and doing) his own thing - and if there was a mess, he did next to nothing about it. He left it alone to favor his friends in green energy to make them filthy rich, while leaving behind bankrupt shell, green companies whose debt the taxpayers have to pay. He's been out and about golfing, vacationing, & fundraising ... Then he was out and about making friends with healthcare connections filthy rich through Obamacare taxpayer funded reform. All the while, because of his policies America has gone much further into debt

I give you credit - I in error added an extra word, which for some changed the message that I wrote. The majority of media coverage has always favored Obama/Biden in a positive (even defensive when either Obama and/or Biden "mis-speak"). Coverage by the same has been unfair to any opposing peoples, parties (uneven).
-
So... ...what has the GOP actively been doing to help solve this ongoing crisis? That is, besides breaking filibuster records. Where is their jobs plan? I must've missed it.

Maybe -- just maybe -- that's because most folks in the media are reasoned individuals. Don't like balance and fairness? Stick with FOX NEWS. They "customize" their reporting nicely for the hypocritical bigots and poorly informed folks who are hell-bent on remaining that way.

Warning: long post, not a simple one Some politicians say they "create jobs" and all that... Demand creates the necessity of bigger production, and that's when more workers are needed if productivity doesn't raise up. So higher demand creates "jobs". In the "modern times" demand just increases because more money is "given" to the people. And that's credit. But credit is not exactly given but is lended with interest so there's a limit for increasing credit as many people, companies and nations have faced. And all that is supposing productivity doesn't raises up when it always raises up, it pretty much depends on technology (also other factors but they are pretty stable in every nation). And technology always makes productivity raises up, it's his goal. Like in 1910 you needed 50 workers for moving something and now you need one with a machine. So demand has to raise up faster than productivity raise up to create the real need of more workers. It can be done by credit but that creates the bust and boom typical phases, depressions and all that.... Stimulus, credit, all that, has a limit, only most don't believe it when they're surfing on the big wave. It's money stolen from the future or so. So in the future there will be a lack of money. And so a lack of demand, and a lack of jobs. And then techno is always raising no not so many people are needed to do business. No need for so many million workers. And, if there was some way, of creating an ever-growing demand, that's an ever-growing pollution and an ever-growing consumption of resources that also leads to scarcity anyway. so, "growth" as we know it, as the politicians talk about, it's not sustainable, it's just castles in the sky, a delusion, a lie, a drug, a figure of eight. The bigger the population and the credit bubble and the technology the more that kind of growth is unsustainable and meant to fail, and actually fails no matter what you do. It may seem it works out "Hey, 2% growth!" but if f*ucks the environment, or some other countries, or the near future, or the financial system, of the 99 % of the population, or the younger generation or other countries.... "Consumerism" consumes the planet, the consumers, the finances, the people and, at the end consumes consumerism itself just like that monster in Yellow Submarine that sucks everything till sucking himself. Call it "a mess" (I just wanted to write a lot )

In light of all the controversy over Missouri Senate candidate's Todd Akin's nuckle-dragging attitude about rape and abortion: Willard Romney's vice-presidential choice Rep. Paul Ryan co-sponsored an abortion bill with the guy! Their shared position criminalizes abortion, except only in cases of ?forcible rape.? And, if you missed what Todd Akin said on the Sunday news program: ?If it?s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.? This is the Republican party, people.

Here's the thing: Nobody cares. Here's another thing: Let me remind you of Obama's triumphant take-down of the entire friggin' GOP in 2010...without a single prompter:
audi:
A classic! (video) President Obama DESTROYS GOP House Issues Forum:
One brilliant man against the entire GOP -- and Obama made 'em look so unprepared. It got so embarrassing that FOX NEWS stopped covering it live on the air. And the man had no teleprompter. -

I'd like to know this: Since wining control of the House of Representatives in 2010, what has the GOP done to actively address the ongoing financial crisis?

fyi - I logged off The Maccaboard last night & haven't been back until now. I'm pleased to see the picture still stands in Reuters - and I think a great caption under the photo would be, "Shut-up and read!"

Um, there's a question that should be easy for you to answer that you have yet to, well...answer. Waiting, bro. Don't be a typical conservative: Evasive and cowardly.
-
You asked "I'd like to know this: Since wining control of the House of Representatives in 2010, what has the GOP done to actively address the ongoing financial crisis?" For one, they tried to get a bi-partican BUDGET passed to put limits on government spending - but it was continually blocked by the Democrats. The Obama Democrats have succeeded by not having any spending restraints in the past 4 years. Wild Democrat nights (and days) out partying with taxpayer dollars, ehhh?!! Time the throw out the current Admin - CHANGE is what is needed ... Not the lame, same ole thing for another 4 years Change from the top down

And this plan puts Americans back to work how? And it's the Repugnantcans who blocked everything. Look at the filibuster records. You must think that people are stupid, like Rmoney and Ryan do.
