Sadie (her name was changed to Sadie from Shade a few weeks ago) loves her sun naps!
The girls are doing great! Thanks for asking. Getting ready to walk them. They haven't had many walks since breaking my wrist. Still have to hold onto their leases with one hand, but they don't jerk much at all. Sadie seems so peaceful. How much does she weigh?
Glad your girls are doing great! Hope your wrist is on the mend.
Sadie is about 5 pounds, so she's tiny.
Do you take her with you when you fly? My neighbor used to take hers with her in a very small handled crate that she put on her lap. I don't know if they allow that anymore, though. My dogs are like 16 and 18 lbs. so too big.
I haven't flown anywhere since I adopted her but I am hoping to take her home with me when I go for Thanksgiving in November. I'm taking a trip in July but I think it will be too soon to take her travelling. If she goes with me, she will be in a carrier that will fit under the seat.
That will be perfect! Then she can look up at you and feel safe. Thanks for asking about my wrist. It is improving slowly but surely.

Funny...although I know it's a problem. We've encountered coyotes at the park where we go. But if a lot of these people would just watch their dogs there would be no problem. Or at least not as much of a problem.

True. A neighbor said he saw one as big as a German Shepherd recently and didn't know they could get that big.

We had a coyote in our backyard last year. Saw the huge paw prints on the cement from the dew in the grass and decided to wait a bit to let Winston out in case it was still around. We have 6 foot plus fences so I was baffled as to how it got in, but then read they can actually jump that high!

Yes they can. I think they hunt for food at night, but don't trust that information exclusively. So, are you sure it was a coyote paw print? My neighbor has footage of a coyote walking across his backyard (two houses from us).

I think they can be almost as large as a German Shep but they are really skinny. Maybe 35#.

Yes, for sure coyote. Mountain Lions have never come down this far into our neighborhood, at least since we've been here, and none were spotted around that morning/day.

I always suspected coyotes COULD jump that high. Wow. That is why I watch our dogs when I let them out in the early morning hours and bring them right back in after they relieve themselves.

This is a cool story...

While channel surfing ... I stopped on a replay of the Westminster Dog Show. I stayed on the channel because I saw "My dog" (A close look alike) in the group. He won the group hooray ...
Stating the obvious - The dog not only looked like him or a possible family member ... the mannerisms were so similar and familiar to what I am used to seeing.
It was cool to see them getting into the history of the dog's characteristics ...
It was the obvious as I stated ... and enjoyable for that part. I surfed after that because of the gazillion commercials.
My dog recently got groomed ... which makes him look more the part.
(If was the English Springer spaniel and similar group).
