what do you think of Dogs
-
I am trying to catch the early or later part of a day to walk my dog ..... I enjoy walking any time .... I just don't want him to catch on fire After all he is wearing a coat ...... I had a few people compliment him on how nice he looks ...... Always nice to hear * my dogs get more compliments than I have ever gotten When we are walking a good pace and seem to be in sync ..... that makes the dog look that much better too I am trying to be conscious about the weather ..... it may not feel as hot to me ..... or I know what it takes to cool myself down ..... they may not .... It will be in the high 80's to 90 degrees ..... I walked early .... it was probably somewhere in the 70's then .... and he was starting to get hot while walking .... I got his pool out yesterday and will likely get it out today too

I love when Lucy "prances" like she is on a runway when we are at the dogpark. Looks cool! We've been going earlier too...not in the heat of the day. Although I think she *was* raised outside...don't want to stress her out in the sun. In fact when she lays out in our yard she'll be sleeping inn the sun & 5 minutes later she's in the shade. She'll go back & forth every 5 minutes for like an hour. When she is finally done, she'll come to the back door.

My Yorkies are all set for enjoying our pool this summer. Got each of them lifejackets on sale & also bought a small (holds up to 65 lbs.) doggie pool float for them! Between the 2 of them, there's barely 8 lbs. of dog, so they can both fit into it comfortably.

Not that long ago there were some fireworks that went off ..... my dog seemed to be fine ..... I was thinking good .... it will be easier to deal with - compared to my last dog (who was very afraid when it came to fireworks) .... Well ..... people were launching them like crazy this year ..... and my dog is scared .... he loves going out .... he would not go out .... when I tried to go out with him he only went a few steps ... then cringed or got close to my legs .... then ran to the door ... with that look in his eye and his whole character shouting ..... let me in .... let me in.... let me in ... PLEASE!!!! (so it it likely to be like this possibly through the weekend or so .... until some of these people start running out or running low on their firework supplies ....)

I wonder why some dogs are like that? ALL of the dogs I have ever had have been afraid of fireworks...no...take that back...one was ok. My current dog was a hunting dog before I adopted her so she should be used to guns going off. But a little pop from a bottle rocket freaks her out. And never mind the big booms! Where we walk, there is a golf course down the road & they have skeet shooting & she is fine with the shooting in the distance. Maybe it's a diff frequency...

I took my dog swimming yesterday ..... what a blast ..... it is so cool to see him swim .... he likes it a lot .... I would like to more often ... but cannot

My dog won't even go out in this heat....I wish he would swim to cool off but he snubs the water. A big sissymary

This is the kind of dog we had when my kids were growing up..she lived to be 13 yrs. old. A very smart little dog. Still miss her..

That's great that he likes the water. Rocco usually acts like he'll melt when it rains, but today he went out in it. Didn't rain much or long or hard, but he manned up. So proud of him

He follows you around, he licks you, he fetches stuff if you throw it for him, he terrorises our other cat (Ozzy), NOTHING scares him...he's just a thug Oh and he's a massive poser. He loves the camera!

I can SEE that. He should be on those magazine advertisements that have the cats looking like they have to go to the bathroom but are holding it, lol. Your cat's much cuter. Gosh, he DOES sound dog-like. Lucky you

He's amazing lol Here's some pics just to show him off

Your cat looks like our late, beloved Grickle Grackle. We love all of our cats & dogs. Our youngest Yorkie was first to try out the new doggie pool float. He prefers swimming with his life jacket on. My hubby calls it as doggie briefcase 'cos it's got a handle on top!

Precious cat photos! Both of you.
