what do you think of Dogs

So the last 3 times I took Willy to daycare (once a week) he was shaking like a leaf & didn't even want to get out of the truck. Today it took me 10 minutes to get him out! I didn't know what to do & I really didn't even want to leave him. But they assured me that he'd be ok. When I picked him up I asked how he was & one of the girls said she was with Will. She said he'd rather be with people & had to put a thunder shirt on him to get him to go in the group. I don't know what caused this. I asked the girl if there were BIG dogs cos he's scared of really big dogs...and doesn't like big fluffy hairy dogs. They said no, no big dogs. Maybe I'll need to email the owner to see what to do. I hated leaving him there in that condition but I didn't want to baby him either.
the doggie day care we use has cameras all over so you can check in on them from your iPhone. they keep the large and small ones separated as well. it's a good way to ensure the workers aren't mistreating them somehow and that they get along with the other dogs

Cameras sound like a great idea but I don't think they have them at this place. Thanks everyone for the concern & ideas. I think I'll email the owner & maybe try to go to a different class with Willy & she can see for herself what is happening. And he was doing so good.

That sounds good.

I do too. I met a nice lady that walks her dog at the park so we have been going at the same time & are walking the dogs together. We now go 2 miles every day. So we're all getting some exercise. I took Will to a class at his day care but I stayed with him so it wasn't so bad. It was about body language so it was very fitting for us to go. He played with a couple of smaller dogs very nicely. When I took him back to drop him off...the same thing happened. He was shaking. But the girl that was there said she'd put him with the same 2 smaller dogs to see how he did. She said a few diff people played with him & stuff so he was getting extra attention. I guess we'll just have to see what happens. I bet he was scared of a bigger dog. I think he has "issues" with certain dogs. I think I may try to park a block away & just walk him past the place without going there. Just so he sees that it's ok.

Hey, two positive developments since last post. That's really good oobu! Happy for you and Willy.

The new vet took an x-ray and says she does not have bladder stones. Yeh!!!! Taking antibiotics for 4-6 wks. Another vet visit in 4 wks. She still feels warm but is perkier. Thanks for asking!

Great news. I'm glad she's feeling better. It's too bad they can't talk to tell us what's hurting.

I know. Very disappointed that the vet tried to talk me into having him clean her teeth for $500 after the bladder infection clears up, though. I said, "Good. That will give me time to apply for a grant!"

I know...vet costs have gotten so high. I sometimes wish I had gotten insurance for him. I guess I still could but that's gotten expensive too.
