Need help understanding ticket process

Hi everyone, I am very new to these boards although I have been a fan of Paul's for over 50 years. Unlike most of you, I have never seen him in concert. Finally as a retired grandmother of 5, I can now afford it although most of my family thinks I'm crazy. I don't quite understand the ticket buying process though. I hope to get tickets to the Hershey concert which go on sale Monday for the presale. Is this only for AMEX users or is there another fan presale? If there are 2 pre-sales then which is better? Is the password the same for both? I really am excited to have found this website while I was searching for info about Paul's PA concerts. Thanks in advance for any advice anyone can offer.[list][/list:u]

PRE-SALE DETAILS - PHILADELPHIA AND HERSHEY: Pre-sale tickets for Paul's Philadelphia and Hershey concerts will be available through Ticketmaster from 8am (EDT / 1pm BST) on Monday 18th April. The password for this pre-sale will be: 1ON1WITHPAUL AMEX card holder sales begins at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 18. Hope this helps....good luck!!

Fan presale password is the one DrivinFan posted below. You need to access the presale via the links here on the boards or the one on the News page of the main site here. For the Amex presale, you can just go to TM directly. For better Amex seats ("preferred"), the password will be the 800 number on the back of your Amex (only certain kinds of cards qualify). For "regular" Amex, no password is needed. Hope that helps, and good luck!

Thanks so much to both you and DrivinFan for your replies. One more question....what do you mean by "only certain kinds of cards qualify"? Why wouldn't all AMEX cards qualify? How would I know if my card would work? Thanks again for your help.

Do you have a Gold AMEX card? If so, it will qualify. Just go to paulmccartney.com, click on LIVE, then Upcoming Tour Dates. Scroll down to see the 2 PA concerts and go from there. ETA: When you click on the link to get either regular pre-sale or VIP tickets, it takes you to Ticketmaster. You MUST have a TM account with your credit card (AMEX) already listed in your account and be logged in BEFORE 8 am and keep refreshing the page prior to 8 am when you will be able to click on the link to get your tickets. THEN you have to put in the password.

Platinum Amex cards work, too.
Go look at another show that is already on sale, and click on the little ? symbol next to the Amex Preferred seats drop down. It will list all the kinds of cards that work for Preferred. I believe ALL Amex cards work for the plain Amex presale drop down.Nancy R:

Don't refresh too quickly. TM does not like that and may lock you out. It now tends to refresh itself when the ticket sales go live, I've noticed. Good luck!
