I'm a bit confused by some of the terms and conditions. I think if you enter for free, a guest cannot come with you. Also, it's more money for an initial entry and you can donate £1,000. Couldn't you just buy a great ticket to the show with £1,000?

I don't see anything in the TOC about having to pay money for the tickets or make any sort of donation. If you win you get two tickets (one for you and one for a friend). The only thing you have to pay for yourself is transportation to and from the venue.

I am not entering, but wondering for the sake of others WHY there is a rule on you can only enter for a concert venue if it is 150 miles or less from your home? That sounds like another one of the PM site unfair so called "Contests." So technically it is not open to EVERYONE in the United States afterall. I think that "rule" should be omitted for others who might live outside the 150 mile range... 1.) Last contest iheartradio: you had to be a hot young babelike 20 something year old or you did not win to see PM in Vegas? Obvious as you can see the "winners..." 2.) This contest has another catch with 150 mile concert mileage? Just be fair and honest rule makers? Thanks. Oh a question to PM.com: If you are homeless and don't have a permanent address can you enter any venue or are you banned from entering at all? Just in case I change my mind and try to enter? Thanks.

I don't get it. If they are not paying your travel expenses why does show you select have to be 150 miles away. Maybe you have friends or family in another city that are going and you would like to join them. Very strange.

                Maybe I'm amazed !!

^^ Exactly. I think they should change that rule. It is very unfair to everyone. jmo. Good Luck to all who enter!

PaulMcCartney.com is pleased to announce a new ticket contest open to Paul's North American fans. This Canadian can't even get to the border in 150 miles.

Can you turn the heat up, or are we practicing to be Canadians? Ringo Starr

Since they pick the winner only a couple of days before the day of the concert they probably want to make sure that the winner is within reasonable travel distance and likely to be able to attend the gig on such short notice.

My guess for this rule is they don't want somebody winning the tickets that lives 3,000 miles from the venue only to have them suddenly not be able to make it to the city in time and the tickets go to waste at the last minute. They are only drawing the winners three days before each concert and even if the person claims the prize in time, that doesn't guarantee they can come up with proper travel arrangements on their own in that short amount of time. I think it actually is mostly fair, it gives somebody that lives close to the city he's playing and wasn't able to get tickets during presale and general sale a chance at a pair of tickets to see Paul.

It it also a way to reduce the number of contestants per concert, in order to increase the chances of local fans.

But local fans already have the convenience of seeing him in their city. Why do they need one more convenience? Seems like a contest like this should be for fans in far off places who don't have a concert in their city.

But there is no guarantee that a person that lives far away from where Paul is playing will be able to make proper travel arrangements in time, there is only a 3 day lead time for the winner. The winner has 24 hours from the time of drawing to claim the ticket, so lets say somebody claims the prize in time, but is unable to come up with plane tickets, or other travel arrangements in time? The tickets go to waste because they've already claimed them, especially if they don't' say " hey, I can't come after all" and by then it's too late for another drawing. Paul's people have no way of knowing the tickets will go unclaimed at will call or however they are delivering them until the day of the concert.

Then PM.com should properly advertise the contest is not really open to ALL residents of North America, just certain ones. False advertising. Gets everyone excited and hopeful once again just to find out it is not real. Yes, and Canada is in North America too. quote: - Q: Can I enter to win tickets to any of the shows? - A: Please select a show that is within 150 miles of your residence. I have driven further than that to see a concert in a few hours...as many others. and still waiting on the Homeless People answer?

I never said is was unreasonable. I just don't see the point. But free tickets for locals is never a bad thing!

First, when you enter the contest you select the show in particular city so you are willing to make the trip. Second, why not pick the winner at least 2 weeks in advance. Most people can change any type of plan with a couple weeks notice.

That's pretty cool I should enter for the Los Angeles one. Because then I could take my dad with me then if I win the contest.
