ps there's nothing online for streaming in the us
McCartney, do you use Comcast (or another Cable/DISH company)? If so, you can watch all 32 sports, all 302 events, all live online. A very simple process: Click on Comcast (or the appropriate company), sign in with your regular Comcast (or other) account password, watch the live stream! In addition, they also offer tablet and mobile applications... http://www.nbcolympics.com/liveextra/
yes i do twitter fans were saying the Comcst links don't work for live streaming n have been told this by NBC I could give it a try some timethis week thanx

The soundtrack album to the opening ceremony is already available to download. Called Isles Of Wonder it is available from the usual download sites. http://www.london2012.com/news/articles/opening-ceremony-album-tops-the-download-charts.html A double album of 36 tracks including the original scores for the transformation from country to industrial scene Martin

I saw an internet item naming them along with the Who for the opening ceremony - which didn't happen. Martin
Martin can you tell us what medals were won countries something? the NBC coverage is poor very poor .. we're not even seeing complete events but snippets .. it's been a Twitter frenzy re: The NBC Olympic coverage.. ps there's nothing online for streaming in the us
The BBC as host broadcaster has it's own comprehensive web-coverage here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/2012/ I appreciate you might not be allowed the streaming content but there's loads of text and tables to read there. This is the games official web-pages: http://www.london2012.com/ Both equally comprehensive. Martin
thanx Martin ..

what is so important to have to see it live? Is someone from your town competing? We had a girl sent home because of a neck thing (got hurt) & she only lives a short distance away. But it's on all NBC channels & ESPN I think.
-
becasue NBC isn't showing half the games if not a 4th or 5th and not all the matches meets etc.. we are getting 12 hr delays.. etc etc,,... I want to see Women's 1st ever,.. boxing at the games and Marlen Esparaza fight,, for starters.. I don't want to hear the constant commentary and Ryan Seacrest talk about celebrity tweets right in the middle of games..

Anti- America NBC it's about the $$$ n with social media we find out results before viewing .. ugh

I'm more shocked by Michael Phelps' poor performance so far than by NBC's horrible coverage, as I'm pretty sure they were the carrier for the last summer Olympics, and it was just as bad. Phelps, though, was nowhere near this bad last Olympics.

Please tell me someone else besides me was watching one of the GB female gymnasts do her floor routine to "Live and Let Die". The crowd was clapping along, too--very cool.

I read on Twitter the BBC is showing a great Olympic stream...
The BBC as host broadcaster is videoing every sport 24/7 for the use by various countries as their favourite competitors take the stage. They are releasing every one of those feeds via the internet - up to 24 channels at a time both via the internet, BBCTV channels 1, 2 and 3 - the Red Button service behind each of those channels and via the internet and their own app for iPhone and Android. But - it clearly seems that content is limited geographically to the UK with content being distributed locally within each subscribing country by the broadcaster that bought the rights to screen. It's down to money, the BBC is making a net profit on the broadcast rights overall, something it wouldn't do if it was able to share freely to the world on the internet. Mind you that would take some real kind of supercomputer server to make that possible - I doubt such exists... Martin

I'm just shocked at how much he's fallen off...he did well in the relay, though. That was heartening.

Swimming is a young persons sport. Michael seems to have peaked. It's hard to embrace celebrity and maintain training for this his third Olympic Games. I understand he's declared this his retirement games - rather like a lap of honour? We're most likely going to see the same with both our swimmers - Becky Adlington in particular and our cyclists Chris Hoy especially who are unlikely to repeat their successes in Beijing. We seem to have peaked 4 years too early in these disciplines. Martin
Becky worried me tonight (my time, EST), but pulled out a medal at least. But yes, I agree that both she and Phelps' best swimming is behind them. Still, I always love to root for the underdogs, I just didn't think Phelps would be in that category.

hasn't come on yet! or will it? the viewing is choppy ..you know what I mean,,
I don't even know what sort of horrible coverage you're getting, but you seem to be missing a lot of what I'm seeing! We're both just watching NBC on television, right? Anyway, it will come right at the beginning of the US gymnasts coverage. NBC threw in just that one routine by the GB team, which makes no sense as to why they wouldn't show more of the hometown team, but whatever. :
