Didn't know where to stick this so, this is as good a place as any... http://www.rumormillnews.com/cgi-bin/archive.cgi?noframes;read=143035
I saw that on TV recently. I think several bears make regular visits. Btw, kudos to your father for his service. I visited my FIL Saturday in the nursing home. He was in the D-Day+1 landing force. He has wanted to do the honor flight trip to DC. I'm afraid that won't happen but he just got a walker and is moving around pretty well.
Roy passed away today. He was the last surviving of five brothers who served in WWII. This coming Monday remember him and all who served in that conflict.

The S. in Harry S. Truman doesn't stand for anything. He once joked that the S was a name, not an initial, and it should not have a period, but official documents and his presidential library all use a period. I didn't even know that period was an alt. name for a full-stop and that's where the use of that word after a short adamant statement comes from. Is 'period' a common word to describe a full-stop in the U.S.A?

I ran across this in my travels yesterday...thought it was rather interesting, always a big fan of SHAKESPEARE....hmmm. .....altered minds and greatness...perhaps not a foreign concept... http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/43555111/ns/technology_and_science-science/t/doobie-or-not-doobie-question-bard/

46 YEARS AGO TODAY -- THE BEATLES AT SHEA STADIUM!! AUGUST 15, 1965 I was there (unbeknownst to me) along with LINDA MCCARTNEY, BARBARA BACH and MERYLL STREEP!! http://www.beatlessheastadium.com/

You lucky girl to have been there! The only way it could have been better would have been if you had also grown up to marry a Beatle, right?!
