Police Killed Nearly 100 People Just in September Police in the United States have killed 77 people in the month of September, and the courts and justices keep rescuing these uniformed murderers from justice, reported Reader Supported News. RSN compiled a sample of instances where police officers have killed someone, either adult or child, and managed to escape unpunished for their crimes. For instance, a Michigan judge last week dismissed a felony manslaughter charge against officer Joseph Weekley who shot 7-year-old Aiyana Stanley-Jones to death during a hapless police raid. After Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Cynthia Gray Hathaway erred in dropping the charge, an appeals court recognized that the decision was wrong. However, the appeals court noted that a review was disallowed. In short, an irresponsible officer whose stupidity cost the life of a young child was not brought to justice.... http://ringoffireradio.com/2014/10/police-killed-nearly-100-people-just-in-september/

It's nothing compared to Philippine National Police. Corrupt, abusive, etc. It's all documented. I'll give you an example, go to Google and type "Allan Purisima." For more example, search "T3 Reload."

Audi, I've seen some of those shocking videos of the little 8 year old girl getting tazed and that 63 year old woman getting tazed from the back. It is utterly shocking how many innocent people, and it seems like many people of color, are being willfully mistreated. The father who was tazed when trying to be with his son who was shot by the police! The son was clearly dead and the father was clearly in agony, just crying over his dead son, not harming anyone, just crying... Why was that poor suffering man tazed in the back over his dead sons body?! I don't think people are even aware of how unbelievably unfair and the outrightly vicious and shockingly bold some of these police attacks have been? It frightens me very much! I've seen too many videos from across the nation, to finally understand...there is evil going on and no one is noticing!! I do understand your concern because of all the videos that have been brought to my attention lately. Thanks for trying to blow the whistle on this dirty little growing epidemic in our country. People do need to be aware of what is going on... I'm really thankful of the brave souls who are catching this abuse live on video at personal risk to themselves...makes me want to move away from all the guns and the brutality and outright hate and blatant racism of it all!! One last thought, it almost seems that the young children are being purposely scared, so that they will grow up with a deep fear of the police. I've seen too many videos now of very young 7-8 year olds who are "mistakenly" (looks on video like purposely) being injured by police! My heart especially will always go out for children. They are in too many many cases, the innocent victims at the hands of adults and now especially the police... God please watch out for the children at the hands of the police!! I do think, as Sur Steven pointed out, that it is a very very difficult job being a police officer. Dealing with the inhumanities that they have to deal with as part of their jobs, on a daily basis? Maybe, some of them just 'snap' and go bad? I do not know? However, I have seen some cruel and extremely vicious treatment being dealt out. You are sure it is no accident! Just praying for Peace and Love to somehow cure this unacceptable behavior, it needs to stop.

It definitely is a shame that these things are happening. And I surely don't know the answer nor am I qualified to answer what happened in all of the circumstances. But I do hear more of what goes on in Chicago & OMG! It is teens & gangs killing eachother. Innocent little children are killed in their homes. How stupid is that??? I would not want to be an officer in these neighborhoods. Agree with Steven...very hard job. And what about people now lawfully carrying guns? I cannot imagine what will be happening in Chicago.

I got so angry last night watching the local news here. There is a police officer that beat a woman with a baseball bat for no reason at all and now they are saying he will most likely get off and do no jail time. And now he's retired since the incident a few months ago and will still get his pension even after his horrible crime. This keeps happening, police officers doing these horrible things and not doing an ounce of jail time and most of the time keeping their jobs. No wonder the bad eggs of the police force keep acting like this, they know nothing will happen to them! I know there are some very good officers out there, and I have known many in my lifetime, but its the bad ones that give them all a bad name and rap.

This subject is close to my heart. It is like 60's again. People should be outraged at the outright racism that is happening in this country. It is a difficult job, however that is no excuse. These officers should not be allowed to get away with this treatment to other human beings. If the officers who are killing people are not punished, it is giving the green light to others. So much anger...so much pain...so unfair.

Was at a block party while in college. My downstairs neighbor was a State Trooper. I will never forget that day. Some of the guys, along with my neighbor, were drinking too much. All of the sudden, the State Trooper knocked another neighbor to the ground and started kicking him in the head and stomping his head. The guy was screaming for him to stop and all the guys were trying to hold the State Trooper off of him. The ambulance came. All over a disagreement between the two. It was shocking beyond belief and was out of proportion to what was said. It was insanity. I hope to never ever witness that type of police brutality again. Kicking his head, over what? He never got in trouble for it either!

In a truly free society there would be little to no need for police. Why do we need to enforce laws unless those laws are contrary to the actual public interest. Of course I am assuming that most of us are sane and moral. Get to the root. Ask yourself why it is that anyone would ever feel the need to violate another person What is the motivation?

In most parts of the U.S. there is really no effective justice for cops who misuse their authority. It's an outrage. I can't speak for other countries, but I doubt we're alone.

8 year old little girls should not be getting tazed by a policeman, just for being in the wrong place and not doing anything wrong. That is a very poor judgement call by an adult policeman.

It all boggles my mind and not in a good way either. If we need to treat officers with respect, then the same officers definitely need to treat all people with respect. They are law enforcement. They are not the law unto themselves.

^^ I agree. Also ALL lives matter. Like yesterday the police pulled over a car where I was, and the car was a "low income" looking car. I say that to describe it. Like the car was missing a hubcap and other things. If the car had been a Range Rover or a more expensive car I know it would not have been pulled over. Long story short the driver was economically profiled. So I took out my phone and filmed the whole incident until it was over. We all should look after the other these days. No matter what color or economic class or whatever. We are all together! Peace and Love!

Sadly Canada is no better. There've been several instances of this here as well. Especially in Toronto and Vancouver. If you're a minority, or poor, watch out. There was even a case a few yrs. ago where a disabled young women, walking in the East Side, (poor), of Vancouver was actually shoved down by a police officer. He tried to claim he thought she was reaching for his gun. In reality you could clearly see in the video, that she had merely lurched because of her walking problems. (She has cerebral palsy). It was disgusting. I took this one very personally, as I too am disabled.

Headline says it all, doesn't it? Keep me the hell out of Missouri. 80 percent of police force resigns after Missouri town elects first African-American mayor: "Following the election of the town?s first African-American mayor, five of the six officers on a small Missouri town police force resigned en masse, reports KFVS. Former city clerk Tyrus Byrd was sworn in as mayor of Parma, Missouri on Tuesday only to find out that police officers, as well as the city attorney and a water treatment supervisor, had resigned before she took office. According to outgoing Mayor Randall Ramsey, who is stepping down after 37 years in town hall over two terms, the city employees gave no prior notice. ..." http://www.rawstory.com/2015/04/80-percent-of-police-force-resigns-after-missouri-town-elects-first-african-american-mayor/
