NEW TECHNOLOGY

I can't get the TV to turn on without updating the programming every time. There's no way I want a car that drives itself.
-
Wouldn't want auto driven cars to be hacked. Especially if you are inside.
-
There's a scene in iRobot where the car is hacked, it sure makes you think! Will Smith luckily has used manual drive enough that he can actually override it and save himself!

Unfortunately this is a likely scenario. Stephen Hawkings take on the subject. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3078611/Our-robot-overlords-100-YEARS-Stephen-Hawking-warns-computers-overtake-humans-century.html

So, I guess as soon as the robots take over...they'll start building humans...who will then themselves...eventually of course...take over the robots?
-
When your computer (especially Windows) does not do what you are asking it to do, or it makes a choice for you, which was not the choice you really wanted... Does that upset you? When you call the help desk and the person there just tells you that you will have to loose everything on your computer, erase everything and start over, do you think they might have been able to save your data? Does you computer seem to have a mind of its own and not follow your commands? Now multiply exponentionally until you reach robotic magnitude!!! I'm thinking that there may be some problems that I can foresee in the robotic future!
-
You know, it's always possible that humans never existed. We're all robots, too far removed from our initial design that we've forgotten what we truly are.

I doubt we are robots, there probably wouldn't be wars then, if we were. We could be star children made from the dust of the universe, that's much more likely. We are stardust, we are golden...

Robots can have wars.

There is technology now that can take DNA markers and recreate an image of your face in general.

Have watched a few of them on tv lately.

They're using this in Hong Kong to publicly shame people who litter. http://haileyshongkongdiary.blogspot.com/2015/05/public-shaming-through-dna.html It's kind of impressive, but it's not completely accurate. When they create a picture from the DNA mapping, it's only a "family resemblance", so it could look like you or a relative of any age since DNA doesn't tell the person's age. In the Hong Kong campaign, they assume the person's age based on location and type of litter.

In the Netherlands, where there are more bicycles, than cars and large bike paths everywhere! Hope to see more of these! http://www.collective-evolution.com/2014/11/09/netherlands-is-the-first-country-to-open-solar-road-for-public/

^ Did a little basic math on new horizon's journey to pluto last night. At an average speed of around 38,000 miles an hour, or equal to traveling around the earth over one and half times per hour and making 120,000 orbits around earth, it made it's 3 billion mile trek to pluto in 9 years time.

Great math SS! puts it into perspective! Looking at Space junk, thinking we need to invent a giant "vacuum " cleaner, with a very fine filter for all the killer aluminum paint flecks!! With the energy of a machine gun and the damage of a Glock pretty scarey for the astronauts! Yikes!!!

I'd expect the Dutch to be ahead of most of the world, but why do bicycle lanes need to be solar powered? Aren't most bikes human powered?

They have lights at night and they melt the snow in the winter ... Two good things for bikers!

Solar sidewalks that melt ice. Where was this when I was growing up?
