Now I have got it together. Cash for Keys are pure sleaze bags. They are responsible for displacing, illegally, many older vulnerable people in my old neighborhood and all over the country. Some of these people died due to their greed and selfishness. Wow, I am just now comprehening how this scam works.

Record warmth out east and cold in the west and severe storms in the south. Crazy winter weather!

The minute you go outdoors without rain gear or an umbrella 'cos it's stopped raining, another downpour immediately starts up.

I take an umbrella everywhere I go every day.

I will never talk to that person again. Tired of lies and empty promises. Tired of crying. It is over.

Newton was secretly into Alchemy... Which was sacrilegious and he could have gotten kicked out of Cambridge. He held Steven Hawkings job title too!

After reading Paul's end of year interview, looked up when 12th night was. It is either Jan. 5 or 6. There seems to be some dispute. Sir Paul says tree/decorations have to come down then. Glad I found out. Had not realized. Still do not know why 12th night. Does that mean people in the UK put their trees UP 12 nights BEFORE Jan. 5 or 6, whichever it is?

Jan. 6th is 12th night. Depends on culture & family traditions. When I was a child, my mother used to call 12th night "Little Christmas" & we always kept our tree up til then.

It's the 12 days of Christmas, so it's after! not just in the UK, but all Christians. It's the 12 days before Epiphany which is when the magi/wise men arrived to bring presents. That day Jan 6 is celebrated as King's Day... http://www.crivoice.org/cy12days.html

Thanks Gypsy Girl. When would you put up your tree?

Wow. King's Day. Never knew about that, either. When I was growing up, we would put the tree up and decorate it maybe two weekends before Christmas. Never on Thanksgiving Day.

We used to take our tree down then too but we called it St Nicolas. We usually put our tree up early Dec.

^^ I think it was around Jan. 07 or so for us? This year since we had no tree, we don't have to worry about that trouble. I always hated seeing the tree go...
