Artbeat Studios, a community art studio for people with mental health issues in Winnipeg, lost its government funding in 2015. Rather than close, they did whatever they could to stay open. Eventually, they asked their neighbors for help. The people of Winnipeg donated $153,000, which was at least $50,000 more than the government grant.

People do far more good in the world than bad, but it's harder to find the good stories on the news. Bad news gets better ratings, unfortunately.
That can change... We might have to completely stop political news tho

I'm seeing a lot of people stepping up, when it comes to government cuts. I can be frustrating and it feels really good to make things good again. So happy to hear this great news... What a great and worthy cause and much appreciated I'm sure. Just saw this article about helping the homeless. Was very touched. If we could develop free energy for people, think of the extra money that we would have to house, feed and clothe many homeless people to get back on their feet. http://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/woman-singlehandedly-buying-houses-citys-homeless/

Some political news can be good. Not in the United States, but in other countries. American politics is hate and hypocrisy.

That's where change comes from. Every time there's an election, people want whichever candidate their party tells them to vote for to save the world. But it's not the politicians who are going to save the world. Can you even imagine a politician saving the world? It's the anonymous people who step up to the plate and swing for the fences without any cameras or press nearby.

My neighbor gave me some potatoes not long ago, and recently I gave them two hothouse grown tomatoes from the farmer's market.

The Chinese government is spending US$1.3 billion to replace 70,000 gas and oil taxis in Beijing and Tianjin with electric cars. Any new taxi driver or company that wants a license must now have an electric car. They're also building more charging stations throughout both cities and the greater Hebei area, which is bringing in more jobs. If successful, the plan is to do the same in other large cities around the country. India announced in April that every car in the country will be electric by 2030. Delhi had already announced that all cars in the city will be electric by 2025. I can't find any details on how they plan to do that, but I read an article that quoted Piyush Goyal, India's Minister of State with Independent Charge for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy and Mines. "The idea is that by 2030, not a single petrol or diesel car should be sold in the country." So it sounds like, rather than replacing cars, they will simply require all new cars to be electric.

It gave me chills to read this. Imagine if all countries were to do this!? Elon is ready for the world and this future vision, to help save our world. Just realized that the early Tesla cars were around $100,000 He has taken the idea of mass production, from Ford and whittled the price down to $35,000!!! WOW I so very much support the countries of the world envisioning this future world, using free energy from our Sun... Driving our electric cars, changing our climate, coming together as one world... Posting this again, it's an amazing car, a miracle for our times. Trying to save up to get one and support this vision... Spiritually putting my energy behind this new world. Wish our country developed this initiative. https://www.tesla.com/model3

An anonymous homeless man in Ontario donated $10,000 to the shelter that helps him out. He's still homeless, but gave the money he was awarded in a government lawsuit to the shelter. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/thunder-bay/anonymous-donor-shelter-house-1.4145987

That's so very touching...I've experienced that some people with less money than others, sometimes give the most, of what they have proportionately. Saw this and was very moved... The guy almost tripped over a homeless man, going in a store to buy some sneakers...watch what he does, very touching... Let this catch on to those who watch this online... http://video.genfb.com/2031998776842222

I can't watch the video, but I bet he buys the guy new shoes. Daryl Mutz left $275,000 in his will to an animal shelter in British Columbia, even though he never went there, didn't live in that city and didn't like cats. http://bc.ctvnews.ca/staff-at-small-animal-shelter-blown-away-by-275-000-gift-1.3426278

Noor Lucman, a Muslim in the Philippines, sheltered 64 Christians in his home while Isis was hunting them down. Did CNN ever mention this? Or anything about what's going on in the Philippines?

I saw this on the news ... Sometimes some things are possible to do when you get older ... Even when you have your doubts about them or are called crazy for wanting to do them.
Very inspiring story and interesting the people who's numerical age does not determine what they are still able to do... It's all in the mind...

Heard a couple of inspiring songs... Alessia Cara ~ Scars to You're Beautiful

I have voluntarily spent hundreds upon hundreds upon hundreds of hours studying life broadly and deeply and sharing my findings online. Some people tell me that I woke their brains and hearts up again. It makes me feel good!
