Contemporary Quantum Physics

There have been a few posters on the board and some newly registered posters who have shown an interest in the seemingly perplexing world of quantum physics. Here are 3 short videos that offer up some thoughts on the subject. What do you think is going on? Double Slit Experiment
The Luminiferous Aether The Michelson and Morley Interferometer Experiment The Constancy Of The Velocity Of Light Quantum Particle Entanglement -
The thing about he slit experiment that I find so interesting is the fact that when it's observed, it behaves differently!! In the first two vids, either lights and electrons are both split... it seems they both have similar results... the inference pattern looks similar to the wave pattern in the double split experiment. Am I thinking that correctly? Now the most difficult to imagine, but then again, it makes sense, is the Quantum Particle Entanglement. I really liked the idea about the super computers trying out many options in a quantum way, with the Entanglement. Where would that computer be developed and it will exponentially make such a difference!! Going to ponder this all, I am feeling a connectedness in all of this. Thanks for this thread SurSteven!!

It's because it's not directly our "visual" observation only of the double slit experiment that effects it. What if the Aether field actually exists and was undetectable by the interferometer experiment because it is vibrating at the speed of energy? (c2) This would lend to the constancy of the velocity of light because it would create an incredibly "slick" medium for it to travel through. When the particles travel through this medium they create waves and are distributed by the waves into the interference pattern. When we bring our attention to the particles, we also make a connection with our feelings/spirit/consciousness, which somehow collapses the wave function, by virtue of the fact that our feelings radiate as energy and are hardwired to this field, and then the particles return to appearing only in particle patterns. When two particles entangle and familiarize, they establish an aethereal connection which remains when they are seperated even by great distance. This would also explain why identical twins and siblings and others who are close, have an instantaneous intuitive bond no matter where they are when they are seperated.

How very interesting that the energy that our feelings radiate, can affect the experiment!! Subjective vs Objective from an energy standpoint. There's going to be more about that in the future, I believe there is a force in us, that we can alter outcome, or know an outcome before it's clear. Thinking of a friend you've not seen in years, before they call you the next day...that sort of thing. What is going on with the twins.... The intuition of those you are close to, yes...Perhaps we don't fully understand it, but I believe it's there too. Want to read more on the Michelson and Morley experiment

Interesting topic that can also go in so many directions like the flow of electrons There was an observation done in a day care for children. There was an interaction between the instructor and the children. When an observer came in the room, it all changed by the mere fact that the observer was there and was observed. The center put in a hall with one way glass. The Children were near the same, but the Workers knew they could be watched at any time. So it was tough to get a good Read. I say this because some of the electron flow acted like this. Would they have acted like this if those were sticks and not cameras? The least path of resistance. Good mind searching topic.

Am forming a pretty good idea of the "fabric" of the Aether. It would complete the micro to macro connection in the infinitely cyclical nature of time and space and particles and waves and energy and eternity.

I'm having a tough time with this one... You are saying the observable measurements are skewing all the results of testing, similar to the double slit experiment? Is this one of the reasons the Michelson and Morley experiment was flawed? None of this is taking into account Dark Matter... http://www.sciencefriday.com/blogs/06/08/2012/dark-matter-vs-aether.html#path/blogs/06/08/2012/dark-matter-vs-aether.html I'm stumbling in the dark... The aether is vibrating at the speed of light that is not observable or measurable? Any good You Tubes for me Sur Steven?

Am working on a reply. I think you'll find it interesting. Just got done watching an excellent video on dark matter and dark energy...
The universe is thought to be 13.7 billion years old So,if the gravital nature of dark matter gave way to the antigravital nature of dark energy around 5 billion years ago, then the law of balances would suggest that in a few billion years...we will reach a milestone...perhaps a coming temporary steady state before the universe starts to collapse back in on itself...to continue the infinite cycle. "Satellite data has revealed that 73% of the matter/energy content of the universe is "dark energy" ~ Dr.Michio Kaku If converted into a balanced time scale of the equal influences of dark matter and dark energy on the universe, then at 13.7 billion years old we are also 73 % of the way through the basic life of our universe. Which implies that, at 18.7 billion years, our universe will reach full maturity. 13.7 divided by 73 x 100% = 18.767 billion years. -

-
^ If it weren't for that rogue asteroid wiping out the dinosaurs, mammals would have never had a chance to turn into humans. We may have wound up looking more like evolved reptiles.

As long as there's no rogue asteroid due to hit Earth in the near future! There's a surprising number of underground homes that have been built! Glad we don't look like evolved reptiles!
-
I guess the song Crocodile Rock would have a little more signifigance. Ya...there sure seems to be an "underground" movement. (yellowstone...wr104...the rogue planet etc. paranoia) They won't be able to save their souls that way, although. Do you suppose they'll turn into The Morlocks from The Time Machine movie?
-
What does a subatomic duck say? Quark! I can't imaging being at a concert with a bunch of crocodiles snapping to the beat! As far as soul's go, it's how you lead your life. Underground or above ground. The underground people always turn out so grotesque in movies, Morlocks included!!

After further research and ponderance... It would appear that The Zero Point Field is only a different name for The Aether. This field is most likely composed of a solid infinite ocean of super micro-miniscule particle spheres that are expanding into energy and collapsing back into a matter mass singularity at the speed of light squared. For warp drive to work correctly, we would have to gather the aethers ahead of us in their collapsing phase with an exotic magnetic field and tranfer them behind us before they go into their expansive phase. About 10 years ago, a team of scientists discovered an unusually low density spot about as big around as a golf ball on a basketball at the edge of our universe. They theorized that this 1.8 billion light year wide spot could indicate our universe's interaction with another universe. I have long thought that our universe could be observed as a particle sphere depending on the vantage point of the observer. If this be true, then our universe could be part of a solid ocean of "universe" particle/energy spheres that could appear as a zero point field depending on the vantage point of the observer. < time x Time x TIME < (Infinitely...inward and outward)
-
Or to paraphrase Buzz To Infinity and Beyond!! (Outward and Inward) I'm really interested in this warp speed theory. What I was wondering, was do you need a ship, or can people just be shooting through space, like in 2001 with stars and universes whizzing by them like bright lights?
I've always liked these interpretations. It's almost as if the movie comes first and gives someone the idea to look for the mathematical formula for ideas, such as warp drive. Doesn't it? Going to check on the Zero Point Field now -
I took a class with Charles Campbell. He told us everything about quantum fluids and frustrated Heisenberg antiferromagnets. I still don't know anything.

When I was 12 years old walking my girlfriend home shortly after dark...during the summer that followed the beatle's appearance on ed sullivan.. I pointed at the star filled sky and asked her to imagine that our universe was a drop of water coming out of someone's faucet on a much larger scale...she thought it was neat...some of my friends that I told later thought I was crazy
-
They thought you were crazy because you were talking about the universe instead of trying to knock Beatle boots.
