So sorry to hear this. My mom is in the very early stages (she will be 90 in Nov.)

Thank you love2, Oobu and Nancy. Been a rough road but I'm thankful she's at peace now.
Nancy, so sorry to hear your mom has been diagnosed.

Thanks, I'm a retired R.N. and I diagnosed her. I have seen the signs coming for about a year now. She is still 90% fine, but well, you know what the other 10% is like. She couldn't figure out how to write a check for $440. She wrote Forty four hundred. At least she recognized it was not right and asked me to write out how it should be (Four hundred forty)

My mom was pretty young when she was diagnosed (early onset in her frontal lobe) but we started noticing signs over a year before she was finally diagnosed. It was a tough road to finally get her properly diagnosed too. I'm so glad you were able to recognize the signs and get her diagnosed.

Kirk Douglas was an actual hero, having smashed the Hollywood blacklist by insisting that Dalton Trumbo be given screen credit for writing "Spartacus." And he quietely gave piles of money to charity.
And based on the photo posted above ... Wow, has Michael Douglas come to resemble his dad as he gets older!
-
He would have been 104 this year! My dad's father lived to 102 (1894-1996)

So sad, I remember him from To Tell the Truth. Isn't there a law in California, that you have to stop for all pedestrians?

Loved Wild West as well. It was like a Western James Bond. Remember how Conrads trousers always seemed to be sprayed on, they were really tight!

Carroll Spinney. Such a huge part of my childhood is now gone. He brought Oscar The Grouch and Big Bird to life for generations of kids.
I got to meet him back in 2017. Such a sweet, kind man, you could even see the kindness in his eyes.
Didn't realize he was on the Band on the album. Heard that working on Sesame Street was a dream job. May he rest in Peace.

He wasn't in a crosswalk - he was jaywalking unfortunately.
