Thanks! You need to make a 3 month advance reservation to get up into the crown, at the Statue of Liberty I guess it's for a thorough check...this has been since 911! Hope to get back and do that... Still, they have a copy of the torch and an exhibit on making the SOL, in the lobby!
The crown was completely closed when I went there in 2006. It's good to see it opened.

Went down to some friend's house today and hooked up a new television for them. They fed me chili and garlic bread and a pepsi, and sent me home with nearly a gallon's worth of the chili!

I love homemade chili. We just had some that I froze at the end of last summer made with our homegrown tomatoes. We usually have Italian bread with ours but garlic bread sounds delish.

You can't beat homemade chili! I was so stuffed I couldn't eat dessert, so they sent me home with about 2 cups worth of sliced bananas and strawberries in light syrup...yum!

Are you sure they weren't trying to make sure that no one kissed you for the rest of the day?

My good news is that I'm going to Paris on Tuesday. Paul, naturally, will be in Tokyo while I'm there and he'll go to Paris after I've left.
