what's that movie's title

Hi there everybody, I'd like to ask you to help me uncover the title of the movie I saw as I child. It was in the 1970's, I was a kid, and I still have that vivid memory of that movie, but I have no idea what movie exactly it was, and I'd like to see it again really bad. I can give you very few tips, hopefully you can track it down for me using the handful of tips I'm capable of providing for you: 1. it must have been the sword and cloak type of movie, 2. in the very opening to the movie there was a big tree with thick branches, all in the dark, then there popped up Zorro-type of cloaked characters up on every single branch, the second crying out "there are two of us", then the third crying "now there are three of us", and so on. They were the goodies in the movie. Well, actually, that's as much as I can remember. Has anybody seen the movie? Can you give me the title, please. Thanks in advance for your tips. Happy New Year!
