We as a Nation have gone through (still going through) a lot of tragedy Storms, Floods, Fires & Deaths Prayers for all whose lives have been upended And starting to put things back together

I may have typed too soon. The day trip is in the iffy stages now. I will have to see how things go in the next few days - if it gets cancelled - I may ad-lib something - still going to take the day off. On the other topic - I agree with all that has happened - there are many lives that got changed in moments - due to natural disasters and some man made wrong doings So many in a short period of time - disrupted, displace - lost everything - not knowing what happens next in their life thrown out of whack - thoughts to them. sorrows to lives lost in these happenings

Thanks again everybody for the positive thoughts for Northern CA. The fires are now a tiny bit contained, better than it was yesterday, but still so much devastation happening. A few co-workers have had their families impacted, but thankfully they are all safe. We are still getting smoke and ash in this area as well. Tonight when I was coming home from a work dinner, it looked like it was foggy, but it was all smoke! Got word that the home of Charles Schulz was burned down, but thankfully his widow was able to get out safely, and all of the 200 animals (rhinos, giraffes, etc) at an animal preserve up here are all safe now.

If you are aware of anyone suffering from Workplace Bullying, I highly recommend this book. It has great insight into the situation and would be very helpful to them. If you also experience witnessing someone at your place of work, who has been targeted, by a bully... and you don't know how you could help them. The kindest thing you could ever do, would be to get a copy of this book, and give it to them privately or anonymously even!! This is an epidemic in this country at the present!! They are not victims, they are targets. Often, they are kind people who are top producers, and fall at the mercy of cruel and inadequate bosses, who use these targets to keep other subordinates in line. THE BULLY AT WORK, How to Reclaim your Dignity on the Job...there's a chapter preview on this link. https://books.google.com/books?id=onHFl6ljHFwC&printsec=frontcover#v=onepage&q&f=false Going out to buy about 10 copies

Thanks Steve This is a new mission in my life. Stamping out Bullying everywhere!!! It's particularly difficult when we have a president who condones it.

This looks good! The charts are helpful in showing how widespread it is. I quit the best paying job I ever had about the same time this book was being written for this very reason. Thinking about buying a copy and sending it to my previous boss, lol!!!

I know. Definitely needed right now. Also if everyone could back off from being so "right" all of the time and think about reconciliation, maybe that would help.

If you look at the charts, you have a lot of company, for quitting that job...very sad that you felt you had to quit. If you are thinking of sending a book out, you might want to send it to someone there, who might also be the target of the bully. They could use the knowledge in the book.

It's going to take a lot of time! I'm thankful for all the volunteers. Most of them are in the background - working, helping, assisting. Hero's never written about (a few here & there, most not so - and I think they would rather it be so). Firefighters have come from neighboring States as well as from within California. And of course all the contributions given. Stick with the longstanding organizations with excellent reputations - there are a lot of bad charities. Most of the money goes to cover Administration & Fundraising Expenses (the bad ones). Try Charity Navigator - to find the best charities: https://www.charitynavigator.org/

Saw this commercial on TV yesterday...it was so uplifting and inspiring I just started crying... We need more commercials like this, to remind us that the world is a beautiful place, and almost all of us want PEACE ON EARTH. Bombing innocent people is what cowards do PEACEFUL WISHES to everyone today

And peace is something we all have (in the West) if we truly appreciate it. Getting overly "political" makes people miserable and miss the peace boat! Yes, it was a beautiful commercial!
