DrBeatle:
I caught a handful of the confetti (so did my mum) and crammed it into my pocket...a silly souvenir, to be sure, but a neat one at that!
I've got a baggie of confetti....silly....maybe........cool, yes!

Could I put this pic up on my facebook page? Those are my flowers and I missed getting a pic with my camera. If so, what's your real name so I can give you photo credit. Thanks.

I just have one complaint about the Fenway show! The first time Paul played Fenway, The NY Yankees were in first place, and my Friend from the NJ/NY area had me take his photo in front of the American League standings posted on the Green Monster in the outfield. I thought when Paul played at the home of The Yankees, I would have my revenge, a photo in front of the American League standings with Boston (at the time) in First place. Unfortunately, NY doesn't have a sign with the posting. I was told they have the flags in order. I couldn't get my photo! Anyway, Fenway Park 2013 Paul plays with The Red Sox in first place! Now I can get my photo revenge! What?!!!! How can this be?!!!! Those no good Yankee fans at Paul's show purposely covered the American League Standings!!!! Poor losers! Podgie (that's unacceptable poor sportsmanship in my book!) Monkey

Is anyone else who was at this show still on a high from it? I can't believe it was 3 weeks ago today!!!

Crazy - it's even more of a blur to me because that was the first day of a week and half long vacation that (the very next day) included heading down to FL...But it was a great show, one of the best out of the number of times I've seen Paul. It was a terrific added bonus that we got to hear the soundcheck from outside the ball park...don't recall every song, but it included Penny Lane, Coming Up, Midnight Special, Celebration and a few others escaping my mind at the moment...We were standing on the Beacon Street bridge that goes over the Mass Pike as soundcheck was going on....you would think you'd hear it even better if you were closer...but there were so many loud radio stations and vending areas closer it, it drowned out the soundcheck noise and those folks were probably unaware that Paul was actually performing only yards away from them...LOL

Soundcheck could be heard loud and clear across from Gate B - I sat on a little cement wall behind the CVS and could hear great! The show itself was fantastic! Plus I liked the early starting time because I had a long travel home after the concert.

The CVS next to the Guitar Center? We were going to head over there before the show but opted for a quick dinner instead...I also liked what I heard from sound check...although I've been to a number of Paul McCartney concerts, this was the first time I ever heard the sound check...
-
Yeah, it was the CVS near Guitar Center. Glad you got to hear a soundcheck, I have done that before at outdoor shows and it's such fun.

Likewise, I liked the earlier start...I had to drag my ass to work the next day, and I work in Boston so I had to drive down to Boston for the show, drive back up home to NH, sleep, and drive back to Boston the next morning for work. It was brutal but I'd do it again in a heartbeat, no question!!!!

I've had to do the long commute thing once or twice in my concert-going years - but with Paul it's always worth it!
-
Now that autumn has come upon us here in New England, I'm having summer withdrawals, especially from seeing Paul in July. Listening to the recording and I'm instantly transported back to that magical evening! Anyone else feeling wistful about that awesome show?
-
it was awesome....hope I hit the powerball so I can go to Tokyo show.....or next year back at Fenway would be nice.

Yeah, next year at Fenway touring the new album would be great

I also stood on Ipswich street and could hear the soundcheck loud and clear. Grabbed some water at the CVS and parked myself near the parking lot there. Couldn't have been clearer and was plenty loud. No competing radio station or restaurants near there. Also appreciated the early start time. Had a long ride back home on the T and then in the car. Luckily did't have to work the next day but would have if I couldn't get the day off. Totally worth it.
-
Absolutely. There's something to be said for the earlier start time, especially since the T shuts down so early compared to most other cities.

I've seen Paul, Thanks to my mom... Carnegie Hall - Behold My Heart ( I was 10) Halifax ( when that girl got her Tattoo) Boston 2013 at Fenway!!!!! Any Boston people?
-
From Framingham - I was there at Fenway for the 2009 (only the second one though) and 2013 shows

Was "this" close to buying tix for the 2013 Fenway show...luckily Washington DC was announced like two days later though! Still, Boston woulda been fun.

Being that I'm also a former Fairfax County resident (graduated from Lake Braddock HS in Burke and my dad now lives a couple of hours south down in VA Beach), I was actually in a similar position, but with the shoe on the other foot The trick was that I had already scheduled a trip to FL the very next morning after the Paul concert, and we had to leave very early in the AM...so I considered other NE venues, both well before and well after my scheduled vacation...but ultimately stuck with the local venue and dealt with the serious red eye the next day (I could catch up on my sleep the next night anyway...LOL)
