Hi im new to the site but needed to air my sadness to people who would understand. Im a huge Paul Mccartney fan and was overwhelmed when my husband presented me with 2 tickets to see Paul at the Hammersmith apollo last saturday. it was my christmas pressie and possibly the best present id ever received. But sadly it wasnt to be, the weather was so bad we was unable to get to the venue. trains were cancelled and the 70 mile journey by car would have been far to dangerous. being the mother of 4 young children i had to put them first and to attempt the journey would have been selfish. I cant express how upset i was and still am. it was a one off and probably will never get the chance to go again.

Oh no way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel so bad for you!!!!! To be honest, when I read that the show was still on in spite of the dangerous travel conditions , I was REALLY stunned. I know it's not Paul's decision exclusively, but a lot of people literally risked their lives for that chance to see Paul's show. I am sure that there are MANY stories like yours... Well everything happens for a reason, perhaps there's something GREAT in store for you, next time he tours! "God loves a trier!" I have a story for you from the Philadelphia shows this past August. I'll tell you some other time, after your grief has subsided....

So sorry to hear that you had to miss the concert. That would have devastated me too. And such a sweet thoughtful gift your husband gave you.

awe I am so sorry the weather prevented you from going to the venue I have been driving in snow storms like that. and it was Rather Dodgy and scary. you made the correct decision. as you have Beautiful kids, and a Wonderful Husband who cares and loves you very Much. it must be Wonderful to feel soo loved! I would have loved to be snowed in with you all , for the Holidays. as I spent a lonely Holiday over here. I would have shared with you, all the Wonderful Memories I have of life, growing up in the late 40's and early 50's Paul would have been upset, if anyone had been in a wreck. amazingly you may be having a "Cuppa Tea" with him soon. by chance. something tells me you will! and he may even sing to you too! isn't that much better? let your Magic begin with Him!
