I joined this site specifically to see if anyone had any ideas about how I could find an obscure clip that may or may not exist of Paul McCartney. My parents visited Sign Great House in Montego Bay many times in the 70's. This was a beautiful and remote plantation house turned inn where great live local bands and dancing was a great part of what my folks enjoyed. One evening a film director showed up and asked if everyone - including the wait staff who wore colorful costumes - would get out on the dancefloor under the stars and dance for a film. This just seemed like another chapter of Sign Great House fun., and so everyone including my parents obliged. The director paired dancers up and my Dad ended up with one of the waitresses. As he was dancing, he noticed that next to him, dancing with another waitress was - Paul McCartney! It had not been announced what was going on so he was surprised but just kept dancing. Then, it started to drizzle. The waitresses - including my Dad's partner and Paul's - ran in, squealing about 'the fever' and wouldn't come back out. It was a wacky moment because, according to Dad, it left him and Paul kind of dancing 'together', or at least next to each other without partners. This was a great time period and those trips were magic for my parents (and by proxy for us, hearing about them) I've long wondered what was being filmed and if this film still exists somewhere. Any ideas?

I have no idea about the film, but I loved the story. Thank you and I hope someone here will help you.

Thanks JennyWren! I learned more tonight talking to my mother, aged 83. She said she thinks it must've been a Jamaican travel promotion because 'they' said it would be shown in New York and she also said that John Lennon was in a row boat on the pond. But, she said "You know I wished I'd thought of getting autographs for you kids, but we just weren't Beatles fans then so we didn't think about it. Now I think they're geniuses. Don't you?" Yes, and well, I hate to say it but I'm probably the age she was - or I'm older - when they were looking so stylish and grown up and gorgeous out on their 3 week vacations to Jamaica.
