As far as I know Paul never had an uncle named Sam. Even if he did, how old is your Mom? Did you mean she took care of him as an old man or as a child?

My Mom would have been 73. She said that Paul had a sailor uncle and my nan would take care of him when the sailor was up in age. Mom said his name was Sam..

Paul's father's brothers were John (Jack) and Joe. I'll have to get back to you on Paul's mother's brothers.

Nancy, how about the husbands of Paul's father & mother's sisters? Technically only an 'uncle' by marriage but Paul would have known them as uncles.

Nope: Paul's mom had no sisters who survived beyond age 2 1/2 and his mom's mother & her last baby both died in childbirth in 1919. Paul's dad had sisters: Edie married a Will Milly married an Albert Gin married a Harry Annie married Bert Dahner (who was Mary Mohin McCartney's first cousin!) Ann Alice died in infancy

Paul barely knew any of his uncles, let alone great-uncles--they were all dead by the time he was born. (I know you were jk)
P.S. We all know that Milly's husband Albert was the Uncle Albert along with Admiral Halsey!
