Hello everyone...

This is kind of an interesting situation. So, for me, I wasn't much of a Paul McCartney or Beatles fan for a very long time. Then, like a ray of sun through the clouds, my wife came into my life and showed me the folly of my ways. I'm still not a huge fan, my taste in music tends to be more in the "I'm angry and I should scream into the microphone about it," but I've come to appreciate Paul's music and style. I do, however, have a question. This story might be a little TMI, so read at your own risk. My wife and I have a wonderful daughter and decided that we wanted one more addition to our family. So, as luck would have it, we were blessed with the conception of Sebastian who was due July of this year. Unfortunately, as life sometimes delivers very difficult times to you, he was lost to us before he was born on July 5th, 2014. At his funeral, my wife and I got to pick a few songs to be played during the procession. One of the songs she picked was "Blackbird." It was one of the most moving situations I've ever been in, looking at the urn that held my son and listening to that song. The lyrics kind of personified everything that I prayed for for my son... Fast forward to today....My wife and I are finally coming out of the funk of grieving so I decided to take her to New Orleans to see Mr. McCartney! Now, onto a quick question: I have been searching for the song list that he would be playing, but can't seem to find any reputable source for it. Does anyone know if he will be playing Blackbird? If not, and this is a REAL long shot, I know, is there any way I can ask that it be played? I'm not a big concert guy, so I don't really understand how these things go... Anyway, I'm rambling. Thank you all that took time to read this extremely lengthy introduction....

Hello and welcome to our community.
I am so sorry to read about the loss of your son.
On a happier note, Blackbird has been permanently in Paul's setlist for many years and has last been performed at yesterday's show. Enjoy the concert and especially Sebastian's song!
All the best to you and your family!

Hello Splee, sorry to hear of your loss. ((HUGS)) Have a great time seeing Paul in N.O.! I hear he's gonna be extra rockin' that night.

Thank you both for the replies! I'm debating keeping it a surprise from my wife. She had asked me if I thought Paul would play Blackbird and I just shrugged and told her "it's always a possibility." We are so looking forward to the concert and finally spending some time away from the house. Thank you all for your words of kindness, I really do appreciate it!
