Hi all - have been following Paul's updates for many years, and have just joined the forum. Home is Australia. I was only 10 when The Beatles toured in 1964, a little young to go along. We've seen Paul on his two later tours - 1975 (basically the Wings Over America concert) and the New World tour in 1993. And we had tickets to the 2002 concert in Melbourne which sadly didn't go ahead. And we had the great privilege of second row tickets for Ringo and his All Starr Band concert in Brisbane on 11 February 2013, 50 years to the day of the marathon recording session for Please Please Me. Die hard fans of cricket in Australia are known as 'cricket tragics' - the family think I'm a bit of a 'Beatle Tragic'. My wife and I are currently enjoying four week holiday in the UK. After a great night at the 2017 Tattoo in Edinburgh we went exploring around the Kinytyre peninsula, visiting the Mull (the bit at the end) . The travel guides warned that the garden memorial to Linda in the grounds of the Campbelltown Museum had been neglected - but that wasn't the case when we visited. (August 2017). The beautiful and tranquil garden is the initiative of the locals to honour Linda's contribution to the community and includes a gift by Paul of a lovely copper statue. We then headed to Liverpool for the last few days of International Beatle Week. Many memorable moments - visiting the boyhood homes of John, Paul, George and Ringo, Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane , St Peters Church at Woolton , the Cavern Club. My 64th birthday is later this week - so guess where we are? On the Isle of Wight for a few days, staying in Yachter's Cottage. I told you I was a tragic! And to cap off 2017 the siblings and I have great seats for Paul's concert in Brisbane on Saturday 9th December. 2017. A splendid time is guaranteed for all !
