I think a little bit of pee came out as I read that.

Those of you that have been to Outside Lands before. Am I correct in assuming that the headliner of the day goes on last? I got single day tickets for Friday but can't go all day, so I want to make sure we won't miss Paul!

Yes, he'll be the last performer on the main stage on Friday night. General Admission tickets sold out today, so if anyone still needs a ticket, you'll have to buy a VIP ticket! A 1-day VIP ticket for Friday is $229.50 plus fees, or a 3-day VIP ticket is $545. Ticketmaster says that the 3-day VIP ticket is actually a wristband and non-transferable. For anyone going for the first time, try to tear yourself away from camping out at the main stage all day for a little while and walk around! Here's a list of the awesome food that will be there: http://www.sfoutsidelands.com/taste/ The Three Twins Ice Cream "Lemon Cookie" flavor is amazing!

Thanks for confirming that! not leaving work until 2:30 that day ( I work in SF thankfully) so I will have plenty of time to get there.

After a long battle between the credit card company and ticketmaster, I finally have VIP tickets. I'm currently thinking of ways to get to the front of the crowd at noon on Friday.

Not sure if you've ever experienced the traffic in San Francisco that weekend, but traffic will be CRAZY. So leave extra time to get there. A few years ago, I flew in for the festival on Friday and the buses going toward the park were so packed that they wouldn't let anyone on...and this was on Market Street, miles from the park!

Yes I'm in SF everyday for work so I know how crazy things can get. We're not even attempting the muni that day.

A warning for those of you coming from out of town, especially those staying outside the city. BART, the train system here, is threatening to strike again starting the week Outside Lands is happening. If that happens it will be chaos even more than usual for folks trying to get to the concert/park because more people will be trying to drive in. Keeping fingers crossed an agreement is reached but not looking too promising right now. They already did it once the beginning of this month and it wasn't pretty.

No will not be good at all, 5 days a few weeks ago was already enough for the commuters. They'll drag it out until the very last minute as always before hopefully reaching a deal.

Does anyone know how early we'll be allowed to line up to get in? Thanks, parlance

Hi, I think have decided to brave this festival after all...can anyone help me?! I haven't been before and am trying to figure out my flight plans, how soon I can grab a spot to see Paul, and if it's reasonable to think I could fly in Friday morning, make it to the park and still manage to score a good spot. All without being super familiar with San Francisco! Any help would be highly appreciated! Thanks

I can't help you much in when to get to ggp to get a good spot since I've never been to outside lands myself. I know they will be opening at 11am. As far as getting to the park after flying in that morning. It is doable. The easiest thing would be to hop on BART from the airport to get to your hotel first, but if the workers go on strike next week then you may want to take a cab which won't be cheap I'm afraid. Getting to the park from your hotel I think Muni would be your best bet, though the busses will be very crowded with others trying to get there as well. Sorry I don't have more info for you!
