-
In the event you hear of anybody selling a couple of tickets, I have a co-worker looking for 2 in the upper bowl. She actually bought 4 tickets in pre-sale but is giving them to her parents and in-laws as gifts. But she wants to go too! So if you hear of 2 tickets together please let me know!

Judy, the interactive map is up now . I saw it when I clicked on tickets from on here this morning., Several row 4 seats in F3. I wish this had been up earlier. I couldn't get 2 seats together ,but now they are showing up My seat is fine,my husbands could be better .
-
Thank you! Looks like we'll be on the aisle, on Rusty's side-which is cool I was surprised when I was pull up different seats in F3, row 4. Guess that's why we shouldn't panic if we don't get anything the first go round.....VIP always seem to pop up.
-
I can't believe these seats are still available ! The map shows a few seats available in nosebleed areas - a few - ,but there's still this block of 7 seats in row 4 !
-
I know Olympia Entertainment is different than the Palace but when the hell did seats off the floor in the back half area go for $250 a seat?! Ten years ago it was $125. Only the floor and first few sections off the floor on the side were in the $250 range.

Has anybody been to recent concerts at the Joe? I was reading their policies and they now have that clear bag policy that other arenas and stadiums have, but wondering if that applies to concerts as well. I also see you can bring in cameras, but I'm wondering if I will have to bring my smaller Sony or if I can bring my Lumix camera. (Neither have a detachable lens, just one is bigger than the other)

I saw about the clear bag policy too, It does say ALL events at Joe Louis Arena. This will be a pain... As long as there isn't a detachable lens, your camera is fine.

Thanks for the info! I know they consider it an increase in safety thing, but to me that makes it more of a "Hey look what I have in my bag, come steal from me!" type of thing. They had this same rule at Candlestick last year but they did allow a small purse as well, so hopefully the Joe allows that as well so at least wallets and such can be secured somewhere not see thru. And thanks for the camera info, I'll plan to bring my Lumix then. Hopefully they will allow signs as well, though I'm sure they will.

Glad I read about the clear bag policy here. I probably wouldn't have checked their policies otherwise. Thanks for posting this!

EXACTLY 10 years to the date of the day second show at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Wonder if Ben and Melissa will be there to celebrate their 10th year of their engagement.
Hey MetalGod ... We opted for the Columbus show this time for several reasons; 1) the drive will be easier and a lot less construction to Cbus than up I-75; 2) we were at a concert last year at the Joe and while it was a nice place to see a show the seats were just so uncomfortable for me and my bad back; 3) most importantly the Cbus show is just 24 hours short of the 10th anniversary of the big proposal. That, more than anything, helped us make that decision. I did email Nationwide about possibly getting a card to Paul to say "we're here 10 years later and still together with a new daughter" but they said they could not help. I emailed Paul thru Facebook but never heard anything back yet. I guess our opportunity to say thank you somewhere, somehow, will probably never happen now.

I had problems logging on also right at 9. But I ended up getting F3, Row 23, Seat 13. It's the first row in the second section back, 2 seats off outside aisle. I'll be alone, so stop by and say "Hi"! Congrats, Ben & Melissa on 10 years and the little girl! I remember that day like it was yesterday!

A friend of mine was at HockyFest today and took a picture of this sign for me: She also said her sister had a fairly good sized purse with her today and all they did was look through it quickly, didn't tell her she couldn't bring it in. She also said tons of people walked in with backpacks, so looks like they aren't too concerned with enforcing the clear bag rule at non hockey game events, so we shall see!

Interesting. The main thing to worry about is just getting in the door first !. Once we get in, if you buy anything, you usually get a bag for the merchandise .Unless that has changed too.I'm doing the soundcheck so that will include a backpack that I can put anything in. I figure I'll go in with my camera around my neck and wear a jacket with zippered pockets for my essentials . I really don't like the idea of walking around with a ziplock bag !!

The jacket idea is a good idea! I'm doing soundcheck as well so with a smaller crowd I'm sure they'll have more time to be picky that early. How big is your camera?

Congratulations I was at that show and remembered it very well Has it really been that many years?!?! I will be at the Detroit show this year I am looking forward to it .... I want to take the day off work or at least a half day ..... and be there early .... have dinner - likely in Greektown - I don't have the sound check tickets .... I do have a version of VIP tickets - which is stretching the budget - but then again it is Paul and I have not seen him in years - so I am grinning about it even as I type

The soundchecks I've been to before, they are more interested in checking your ID with the name on the ticket, than the purse -just a quick peek inside - but I've never been to a " clear bag only" arena before ! I just have a small Sony ,it won't be heavy hanging around my neck for hours !

Regarding the clear bag policy it depends on who is at the door. For the most part they have been enforcing it so I wouldn't take a chance bringing a purse. Hard to say with camera. They don't want the detachable lens but I had to leave my camera at guest service once because of the zoom length (20x). Only happened once in 20+ years but I guess it could still happen

Well you can bring a small purse, as long as it meets their measurements of 9x6.
